here's ur chance to pat urselves on the back to the good calls u've made & to man up to the bad ones... I'm sure we all have our fair share of both.

My Right Calls:

- the McDyess trade was horrendous
- the Zach trade would cause Eddy to regress badly & taking on his contract would kill our future cap flexibility
- KVH for Fugazy trade
- Mike Sweetney was not the next Elton Brand
- tanking the season in '03 for a shot at Lebron, Wade, Bosh or Melo
- Chris Duhon at a 2 year MLE was a good move
- Kevin Durant would be more Rashard Lewis than KG
- taking Marbs out of the rotation would be addition by subtraction
- Big Turd James

My Wrong Calls:

- Marbs was a good acquisition
- Curry was a good acquisition
- Steve Francis was a good acquisition
- Zach would never be a positive presence on the Knicks' roster
- Kobe might force a trade to NY
- Gerald Green would be the best player taken out of the '05 draft (jury's still out *cough*)

i probably got a few more wrong but those are off the top of my head.

Man...alright.

Right:

Obtaining Crawful would ruin Marbury.
Let Marbury be Starbury or expect him and the team to suffer (it has, marbury + laydens team = playoffs. Since? garbage!)
Zach would ruin Curry.
Francis and Jalen were stupid needless acquisitions.
Nate would excel in Mike's offense.
Never learning from recycling Ewings expiring would ruin us.
Herb Williams sucks.
Trading Ariza was stupid.
Firing Lenny was dumb.
Once Larry wasn't working out we should have fired him AND Isiah at the same time.

Wrong: (so far this season most entries... I dont really recall many wrong calls in the past 5 years, lets face it, averaging 28 wins how could you have been wrong by saying "this isnt going to work!" lol.)

Sweetney > Bosh cause Sweetney played in the paint and Bosh was just a chucker from deep. (yeah, admittedly so, I felt this way lol)
Larry Brown would get the most out of our players by stripping them down and building them back up.
Duhon would suck - he hasnt.
Should have never signed Duhon should have started Nate instead with Mardy backing up.
Zach would still be ZachAss - he hasnt been.
Crawful would be god awful - so far he's been Crawsome, yet, I maintain, at any time he can flame out.
Lee was worth extending.
We'd never be above .500 ever because Mike's system needs SHOOTERS that can actually SHOOT and these guys can't do that.

Jury is out:

We would have been better off dumping Zach, forcing Eddy to look 19/7 again then trading him and Crawful, etc etc... tear it down and start from scratch.
Trading Balkman instead of just waiving Malik was dumb.
Signing Roberson was retarded.
Drafting Gallouch might turn out to be a mistake but he's not Lampe but he's also not Dirk.

I'm sure there's been plenty more in all categories........

Right
- When Donnie's name popped up, I knew he'd be much better pick than Jax (now he's our man)
- When D'Antoni's name popped up, I knew we had to get this guy over Jax (now he's our man)
- I said Isiah may have picked the right guys after all, but just couldn't lead them
- I was against the Curry move, because I knew how he was and I was totally right
- I was totally right to turn on Isiah and Marbury about two years ago
- I still say I'm right about keeping Lee
- I was totally right about tanking end of the last season, only for them to win three in a row & blow a chance #1
- I think this puts an end to the 'was it solely Nash that put Phenix on the map' sweepstakes!? Nope' and I was right again
- About drafting Bynum (instead of Frye)
- Pushing for Kobe
- Pushing for not senselessly spending anymore money and fixing our cap space first order of business
- Pushing for Lebron
- Bashing the bashers who ever bashed me for making predictions and for the most part me 'being right'!
- Sticking up for those posters who stuck up for me

Wrong
- Letting Marbury's contract run out (thanks for setting me straight TMS)
- Getting rid of nate last year
- I can't remember anything else specific - anyone?

Jury Still Out
- Larry Brown would have a comeback, to prove he was a better coach then the brass gave him credit for as a Knick
- Lebron sweepstakes
- Drafting a center like Brook Lopez
- Oh yeah, since most didn't want Brook, I also pushed for Kosta Koufos (avg. 1.6 blocks in 15 minutes a game)
- 40 win season
- That we'd be 7-8 after the first 15 games (I'd gladly be wrong on this one)
-That the Knicks scored 100 + 32 times and that they'd increase that under D'Antoni (so far so good)

I can't think of anything else at this time. And I don't think I had any particular strong feelings about anyone else that I can remember.

Right call
- Herb Williams is not the answer as head coach, he isn't even the answer at assistant coach.
- Kwame Brown isn't worth trading your lottery pick for.
- David Lee at 30 makes sense. Taft will be out of the NBA soon.
- Nate Robinson is worth trading Kurt Thomas even if you have to take back Richardson.
- Brown won't work well in NY and it will end bad just like everywhere else.
- Trevor Ariza is not delussional. Brown is being a prick and Steve Francis is a shell of himself. Ariza has good upside and he is still young.
- Don't go crazy about Jackie Butler, Isiah was smart not to give him that type of money. Spurs are going to regret it.
- Marcus Williams will not be a big time player and he isn't lottery talent.
- Rondo over Balkman.
- Jared Jefferies is another foolish move by Isiah. Big mistake.
- Q Rich numbers will continue to decrease in the eastern conference.
- Randolph will hurt Curry development in the post.
- Randolph will not have problems off the court in NY.
- Chandler has a shot to be the 2nd best SF behind Durant in this draft besides he is better than Jared Dudley. He has lottery talent but in a horrible halfcourt system at DePaul.
- Told Nixluva that Gallinari will be more fragile than Anthony Randolph.

Wrong calls
- Channing Frye will be better than Bynum.
- Isiah will coach better than Brown.
- Jerome James will be a ok option at center forget about the money.
- Curry will continue to improve.
- Green will be better than Granger.
- Crawford will have trouble in D'Antoni's offense.
- D'Antoni won't coach winning basketball without Nash.
- Duhon sucks.
- Z-Bo won't excel in D'Antoni's offense.

I'm sure I miss a couple for both calls. The jury is still out about Collins and Marcus Williams having similar careers in the NBA but my call looks good so far. I only included items since my time on UK so it can be verified. There are others.

Is this a stroke your ego thread for the most part? If so, I'm in.

Right:
-Called for Isiah's firing in December of 2005. Got **** for years before people saw the light.
-Jalen Rose is a terrible move.
-Vin Baker is a terrible acquisition.
-Larry Brown should not have been fired before Isiah.
-Trevor Ariza is worthless, stop crying over him. He's still nothing special.
-Maurice Taylor trade is dumb, he isn't needed.
-Knicks need to draft Carlos Boozer(he gets drafted by Cavs 1 pick ahead of Knicks in 2nd round).
-Randolph Morris blows.
-Wilson Chandler has talent, he just needs to play.
-Should have traded Lee for Mayo(if that deal was true).
-Should have dealt Spree for JYD and #4 pick and drafted Bosh.

Wrong:
-Jerome James is a decent acquisition.
-Channing Frye will be a good player in this league.
-We fired Layden! We are back on track towards respectability!
-Lenny Wilkens and this group of players has a lot of potential.
-Wooo Antonio McDyess!
-With the acquisition of Eddy Curry, we are ready to make some noise fellas.
-Things can't get worse than Shandon Anderson, Eisley, and W'Spoon.
-Crawford is great.
-Moochie Norris should be in the rotation.

LOL I forgot about that one too.

I think my words in short were "We traded Kurt at just the right time he's going downhill. Isiah made up for it by getting Taylor (Kurts offense) and Malik (Kurts defense) all in one."

HAHAHAHAHA oops... although the Malik trade gave us Lee and ehhh Collins, so, it's acceptable of course....I was just wrong about Malik/Taylor filling in for Kurt.

Right:
* I thought we gave up too much cap space for Marbury and I thought we needed to get a good big man first.
* KVH for Fugazy trade was awful.
* Every Isiah trade was terrible. I don't remember being overjoyed with any Isiah trade, but was against most.
* Caught on earlier than almost everyone else how bad Isiah was.
* Hated the McDyess trade.
* Thought Frye was backup center quality.
* Liked Bynum over Frye.
* Thought Mardy Collins was garbage.
* Thought Balkman was garbage.
* Thought Jerome James was garbage.
* Listened to Briggs more than most people. :)

Wrong:
* I saw a lot of potential in Lampe, Sweetney and Frank Williams.
* Initially thought Isiah would be a good fit as GM.
* Preferred Nene over Amare.
* Thought no GM could be worse than Layden. Then Isiah proved me wrong.

Those are off the top of my head. I'm sure there's a lot of others. Sadly I've been right much more than I'd like in the past 6 or 7 years. I'd gladly prefer to have been wrong more often and have a successful team.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Right Calls

Chandler was a solid pick
Randolph was not a bad player and worth the risk

Wrong Calls

Curry can be a top-10 center
IT is a good coach

wrong
- needing a center
Both jerome James and curry were failures and suprisingly acquired in the same year

- marbury needs a supporting cast
It's now more obvious that his "supporting cast" days have passed and the best supporting cast he had was the year tin Thomas got hurt against the nets.

- isiah can coach
His inability to stick with the Indiana / phoenix offense and succombing to salaries proves he can only coach a college team in Indiana.

Right
- needing a center
Turns out jeffries is our center and dlee is continuing his college position at center in the same capacity. We still need a shot blocker however a long zone defense knowledgable player will suffice in our current system

- larry brown sucked
He clearly had the same if not more talented roster. If he could coach and isish can't why same record?

Isiah can draft
- Nate, balkman, ariza, lee, mardy, chandler are better than gallo, marcus Williams and everyone else also available at the time. Second round and end of first round players are far less superir than what zeke was able to pick up.

Islesfan
- new season new board
Let's go Knicks. That's amare

RIGHT:
-I said before we traded for him, that getting Curry would be a horrible move, no matter what we gave up.
-I said before we traded for him, that Jamal was overrated on this board. He still can't play defense, and is still having trouble learning the game.
-Bynum was the guy we needed to draft.
-Channing Frye is a sissy.
-Coaching was never our biggest problem. Just a part of it. Whether it was Brown, D'Antoni, Isiah, Wilkens, Herb, Chaney or JVG and just firing guys without a plan wont solve anything.
-Signing Jerome was stupid.
-Balkman, at 21, was a bad pick.
-Isiah was overrated as a drafter.
-The Mo Taylor trade sucked ars and was a sign of things to come for Isiah.
-Marbury should have been jetisoned the same Summer that Brown was fired.

And ect...

WRONG:
-Signing Jared to the full MLE was a good move.
-Marbury trade was a good trade.
-Kareem Rush would be an all star.
-Mike Sweetney would be a very good player.
-Isiah is a decent coach.
Channing Frye would be a very good player, but hey, I guess we still got a little more time.
-We should have picked Marcus Williams (Hey, Rondo was still available, hence, me being right about Balkman.)
-Picking Darko might be better than picking LeBron (Probably my lowest of lows)
-The trade to bring in Malik Rose and a pick was a good trade.

and ect...
