I know its early, but I wondered where Wilson Chandler ranked in scoring amongst the 2007 rookie class. Right now he is in the top 6:

Durant 22 pts 4rbs
A Thornton 16 pts 5rbs
T Young 15 pts 5rbs
J Green 15 pts 6rbs
N Young 15 pts
W Chanlder 14 pts 5rbs
S Hawes 13 pts 8rbs
Yi Jianlian 10 pts 7rbs
Horford 10 pts 9rbs

Four of the top 8 (Durant #2, Horford #3, Green #5, and Jianlian #6) were drafted top 10. Chanlder was the lowest pick in the top 6 at 23. Other lotto picks such as: Brewer #7, B Wright #8 and Conley #4 have yet to make any impact. I know its still early in thier careers, but usually if you are picked top ten, you show some types of signs that you are gonna be a player in this league for years to come. None of these guys have shown much if nothing at all.

Acie Law #11 is buried on the bench and has been passed on the depth chart by journey man Flip Murray. The only other person showing signs that he might be a player down the road is Stuckey. Agian its still early, but Chandler is showing that he definitely has top ten talent.

Nate was a pretty good pick aswell. Officially Pho made the pick, but I'm sure they made the pick for Isiah due to the trade...

LOL. Chad Ford originally said that D'Antoni made an excellent pick but when he found out that the Suns were picking for the Knicks, he back tracked. D'Antoni admitted later that they didn't really look at Robinson because they felt he was too small for the two guard spot and they already had filled at the point guard spot since they didn't have a clue what they were going to do with Joe Johnson. You give D'Antoni too much credit when he doesn't deserve it. The guy that D'Antoni liked was the guy that the Knicks selected in the 2nd round Dijion Thompson.

It's funny how you mentioned that, I was looking at the sophomores this year and said wow they probably only really have 8 guys that are really worthy enough to go to Phoenix. It's nice to see Yi is starting to play well. Good luck with this rookie class too. These coaches aren't playing them enough.

yeah, and the Knicks sent Dijon to PHX as part of that trade. The Suns were picking Nate for the Knicks and the Knicks were picking Dijon for the Suns. why anyone tries to act like Nate was a PHX pick is silly. Isiah made the pick - he could always draft, he just couldn't trade well or delegate authority to a coach or run a team or check his arrogance. But he could draft. It's weird that he traded away so many draft picks when clearly he got more value out of picks than anything else. ah well.

Nate was picked at our request - it was a draft day trade.

2005-06-28 ---- Knicks ----Acquired: Quentin Richardson, rights to Nate Robinson, cash ---- Traded: Kurt Thomas, rights to Dijon Thompson ---- trade with Suns

Here's a VERY interesting path that Nate's pick took though! Never knew this!

Nate is much better than Lee. And that's coming from 4949, one of Lee's biggest supporters.
I'll never trust this' team again.

The irony is that D'Antoni thought Thompson was a better option than Q Rich and Kurt Thomas was the guy he hoped could deal with Duncan. Thompson was a bust and KT was injured when they needed him.

Hmm i'm still a little sceptical about this one because Isiah tends to screw up his higher draft picks, Frye over Bynum is still a sore point :(.

agree- though Frye was a 'safe' pick.

We should put Isiah in charge of the second round picks.

Man you have to really understand that Drafting super young players is a hard thing to do. There are picks in the NBA that we're still waiting to see if they are gonna develop. Green, Milicic etc. sometimes you just get lucky. Isiah played it safe.

Bynum, Granger or Monta Ellis were the guys we shoulda drafted over Frye looking back... that draft wasn't particularly deep as it turns out... of course, hindsight is 20/20 & there were still plenty of people around here who were pining for guys like Ike Diogu, Sean May & Gerald Green (my brilliant choice) on the day of the draft & 39 other guys were picked over Monta Ellis, so u can't lay too much blame at Isiah's feet for that one.
