Man, I live in Chappaqua(just moved here recently) and i can't find any place to play ball inside.... not even a ymca!!!!!

There is a gym in braircliff manor that charges 135 a month!!!!!! thats just ridiculous.. why is it so hard to play ball in the winter?????????? Any ideas?????????

also what sucks about YMCA's is that the courts are alawys booked with some sort of stupid dance class

go visit the Knicks' practice facility up there... maybe dj can hook it up for u... just as long as he's not wearing his Raptors' jersey.

My daughter played in the Brewster Sports Center when she played AAU. It was a nice facility and I think it is close enough to you.

Good question. I'd love to know the answer too because I haven't been able to find a decent (and free) indoor gym to play hoops in Westchester...

I mostly just go and play outside at one of the town parks (like Mt. Kisco, Bedford Hills, etc.).

I play outside in mt. kisko too but kinda hard when its cold as fuk outside lol.... I woudlnt even mind pying something reasonable.. but 135 per month??? yo thats crazy even tho its supposed to be a sick ass gym.. thats just a lot of $!!!!!!!

Go to the Theodore Young Rec Center in Greenburgh (not far from the Knicks training facility)

Back in the day, Ray, Sam and Gus Williams brought some serious squads up from Mount Vernon. Earl Tatum, Scooter McRae and even Charlie Criss showed through. It was a beautiful thing that rivaled The Rucker for night game intensity.

In Memoriam

Ted Young built the original Youth Center from scratch in the mid sixties, and fought the political establishment for the funds to build a new facility in 1970 that young people could develop their athletic skills and learn the arts. Mr Young was a father to hundreds of kids who had no place else to call home.

He was a beautiful soul.

You used to be able to play in the Tarrytown Y. I am not sure if you can anymore.

Can you get some sort of community membership for the gyms of any local colleges? I don't live in Westchester anymore but I know of some schools elsewhere that let you do that.

i went to SUNY Purchase so i tried to do that but their basketball team holds practices and games eevery evening which is when i would want to play.. womp womp womp!!!
