in order to be qualified to even try u have to have had at least 200 hours of regular skydiving time... that's gotta be the most dangerous extreme sport ever.

Phenomenal! I think it's one of the best flying things I ever saw.

Can you imagine if the people in the towers had access to something so life saving? Or in any tower for that matter?

I can see soldiers using something like this, to drop in on unsuspecting terrorists or police with criminals. The whole parachute mechanism can be redesigned also, to make it' more compact also.

It's a great inventions, because you don't need a large parachute to open. This suit slows you down just enough for a smaller one.

What if paramedics had to get someone off a mountain top? Flying gernie? This is too great of an idea.

i don't think that's realistic cuz airborne troops have way too much heavy equipment on them to make this a feasible option.

Who said anything about carrying heavy equipment? NIght vision goggles, a very sharp knife in a skilled hand and a hand gun for those small situations. Hell' fly down, land quietly, sneak up and cut some throats. Special opps dude, special opps.

Not full combat attacks.

LOL... sending in special forces w/a knife & night vision goggles? Tom Clancy needs to get on that for his next video game.

Yeah, would never work. The opps would get close to landing, only to find out that the equipment beat them down so fast, that the terrorist would find it and start shooting those special opps guys down. Like a bunch of flying squirles crashing into the ground.
