Just when we thought Layden couldn't do anything right.

Now if Lampe is just as good as we think he can be...

And Milos will either be here or get packaged in soome trade.

I like the prospects of Lampe and Sweetney this season. Vranes is a few off, but at least we're bringing these guys in and they are expected to produce, unlike the last few years of draft picks: Michael Wright, Chenowith, Postell (didn't do anything here), Fred Weis, etc.

Yea I am impressed, but the Haterz of the knicks on this site still don't get it.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Honestly I thouhgt the whole buyout process is more a responsability of the players agent. The Knicks can only offer a certian amount of $ under the league rules.

I agree with your assesment the buyout is usually the players and agents deal. Not so much the GMs, But it was nice that Layden went into his exception to make sure that Lampe was going to play for the Knicks. For that you have to give him props. But if you look at Vujanic situation he hasn't been able to get him here why because its really up to the players and agent to seal the deal. In Vujanic's case and his agent's they think he isn't good enough for the NBA which is probably true. I think he is overrated anyways give Frank Williams the job to be the team pg and he will do a good job for the KNicks. The players have to want to play in the NBA to make it happen and in Vranes, Lampe's case they wanted to be here that is why they are here. As for VUjanic far as I'm concerned if he isn't confident to be in the NBA than he really doesn't belong here. Half the battle with being a NBA superstar is to feel you belong. Thats a battle Vujanic is destined to lose.

Good post. You just can't force a player to want to play here, if vujanic needs time, then give it to him. On the other hand Lampe wants to be here and feels he can contribute now.. That is the mark of a good ball player..
