Some of you (still) want to get rid of Zach....they wouldn't be 4-2 without him. He is a good fit for this offense. He has been doing what is asked and needed of him, staying in the offense, even played a little "D" today. I believe that before the season is over, he will play more/better defense.

I don't think he'll ever be very good defensively. He doesn't have quick enough feet and he doesn't get up very high. But he's shown the desire to work on d and that does make a difference.

I realize the guy came here with a very bad rep and I have no reason to doubt he deserved it. But the guy hasn't been much trouble, he's played very hard and very well. The biggest problem with keeping Zach on this team is his contract and I can't blame him for that.

If you ever want to have a chance to step out of mediocrity, you have to trade Zach Randolph when his value is highest. If you can acquire an expiring deal and a young prospect and/or a draft pick for him, you have to do it. Zach makes too much money and that money usually goes to guys you build around. Zach is not one of those guys.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

If things work out and we get to make many trades to get cap space and Zach can stay, I wouldn't mind because he has proved he can work in this offense and, better than that, cares enough to do his best to fit in and help the team. He has been a good story so far for us. But, as GKFv2 points out, if you can get an expiring contract and a good young player or a nice draft pick, you should make the deal. But, lets emphasize on this, it HAS TO BE A GOOD DEAL! No longer are we desperate to trade him, he hasn't bothered and has fit perfectly in the system. THE DEAL HAS TO BE GOOD.

He doesn't go unless we get an expiring contract AND a good prospect or high draft pick.

Not trading Randolph for garbage is the best move Walsh has made so far. And the nerve of the clippers trying to steal 2 good forwards for nothing!

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Zach fits in this offense until we get a half decent trade for him.

Knicks need the cap space if that's their plan......but if the Knicks are winning.....the focus can be shifted somewhat to making the product better........not the Isiah way though. The Donnie way of being patient and allowing D'antoni to coach his team is working.....I'll assume as time goes on Donie will make a trade to improve the team.

Actually I have been more critical of D'Antoni.

Anyway, I have a policy: If I see something I like I says so, if I see something I don't like I say so.

I don't fall in love or hate with team personnel often.

He's still taking too many deep jumpers for my liking.

I think Zach is still Zach. He was never as bad he was blamed for being, but he's also still got his own flaws. Things around him have changed quite a bit.

I NEVER liked Zach taking 3s, but if he plays as well as he has, at the cost of a couple of 3s I don't like, then I'll take it.

Double Standard

Don't get sidetracked by his past associations, grim demeanor, deep set eyes or fact that he has a 6.5" vertical jump. If David Lee was going for 20 and 10 on a nightly basis there would be a parade down Seventh Avenue, no questions asked.

Zach is a baller.

I was in favor of the Memphis trade until the the "G" in Grizzlies started to mean greed, and I found out Milicic had some kind of achilles issue in the off season (He has had few blocks this year, and that was the main reason I wanted him.)

Randolph has his flaws, but he has been enthusiastic and has actually played some D.

They still have a weak interior defense, but they have played some inspired team D at times and this makes up for the lack of individual defensive ability.

I am not letting the nice start fool me about this team, but Zach and company have been entertaining so far, and I actually look forward to watching them play.

Conversely, if Randolph were having bad games or putting up the modest numbers Lee has, Randolph would be facing the nasteist comments one could think of. Nobody would be making excuses for him as they have Lee, the media included.

Time to have one standard for the whole team.

I love what ZBo is doing right now, but don't you think ZBo's history dictates how he is treated by the media. We are not talking about a model citizen here.

DLee on the other hand has been one of the players that gave us hope the past couple of years. Years that I want to forget.

You need a double standard for players that always seem to do the right thing and knuckleheads.

dlee is maddening because he's so inconsistent.

zach last year deteriorated along with the rest of the squad into a chucking blackhole.

i love how he's playing this year.
