No thank you. Keep Gallinari and be patient.

No need to rush to judgement on an obvious talent that only needs to heal and get acclimated.

A 6'11 Camby-clone, 6'10 Gallinari and 6'8 Chandler will be the Knicks frontcourt of the future. A juicy free agent to play guard on 2009-10 and let Duhon be the brain on the floor.

When was the last time a Knicks team had 36 assists?

Vince Carter should be so much better than what he is. He should be on Kobe and LeBron level but never reached that stratosphere. To me Vince will always be an underachieveing player.

Stay the course take a few lumps while Gallonari and Chandler develope. I can only see a positive future for the Knicks at this moment.

Sorry Briggs, I disagree. The last thing in the world I want is Vince Carter, the absolute last thing. He's always hurt and I've watched him destroy that Nets offense on some nights. Good dude, but no thanks.

Nay to this trade, even though Fried Gallinari is most likely not a 6'11" Camby clone, as Misterearl decided to point out for some reason.

I like Boone, but that trade is not good for us. Carter is on the downside of his career and this team is at least 2 years away from being anything special (and that's assuming Chandler and Nate continue to develop and we can be smart trades with Curry and Crawford). DG has game. The only question is can he stay healthy. We would be selling low right now.

Yeah, I didn't get the Camby reference. I thought he maybe was referring to Boone?

Weren't you just saying how Gallinari had a good outside game and getting rid of Lee would not be wise?
I'll never trust this' team again.

I don't touch that. You want to give up a lottery pick (who at this point we don't know how good or bad he will be, but we know he shoots very well),Q bricks bad contract and Lee for an old Vince and a pretty good Josh Boone? I think we are taking a HUGE chance here. You don't trade lottery picks so soon. Regardless of if you like him or not, that can come back and bite you real good.

I like the idea of moving Q Rich's contract, but he hasn't been horrible (yet).

I say we work on getting value for Lee (that may or may not involve moving Curry).

Well, I'm not going to advocate on trading Lee, and it's true, Q hasn't been consistently horrible, but he hasn't been consistently good either.

I want to challenge Thorn's good eye because his selection of point guards in the draft the last couple of years have been real muddy. Great move by him to trade the ancient Kidd and his marital problems out of NJ and get back a young rising star. Nelson jr. and Cuban are destroying everything that Nellie built.

Good point but it really did seem like a God Send at the time that Laptop Guy fell to him there.

Great trade trading Kidd, I agree. I'm still dumbfounded with them giving up Harris for Kidd. Think it was a bad move but this year should tell.

I was really should have said that he did a good job with that time, at least in years past, unlike what happened here.

it boggles the mind these guys that wanna keep laying their hopes on starphuch trades like this w/what we've been through the past several years after making deals like that & getting zero positive results.

u wanna go Celtics style? ok, then don't be stupid, keep amassing young assets & developing them, then when a REAL franchise calibre talent like a KG comes along, u make a trade for him... u don't mortgage the future on paper thin window dressing like Vince Carter or Gerald Wallace & expect to get the same results they did.

Thank you! The Celts sucked for a few years, but they amassed lots of good young players, and they waited for the right opportunity, and they also got lucky, in a way, being able to get both Ray & KG. It will not be every summer that you are able to get 2 established stars like that.

Let all Knicks fans consider the words (edited) of President-elect Obama:

The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep. We may not get there in one year or even (four), but... I have never been more hopeful than I am... that we will get there. I promise you - we... will get there.

There will be setbacks and false starts. There are many who won't agree with every decision or policy I make ... But I will always be honest with you about the challenges we face. I will listen to you, especially when we disagree. And above all, I will ask you join in the work of remaking this (team) the only way its been done in America... block by block, brick by brick, calloused hand by calloused hand.

No man is happy without a delusion of some kind. Delusions are as necessary to our happiness as realities- C.N. Bovee
