gotcha...

I don't think that's a good idea because it's far too early to pass such judgment.

but I suspect some here are probably already thinking this...

I tell you what taking him out of the starting line up ain't helping his trade value.

Fair point.

I think teams still like him, and won't go too crazy over his not starting right now.

Wilson plays better D, and Zach is our best offensive player down low (also needs to show he can do well and win so we can deal him).

right now i think we absolutely must trade D Lee, & that's not cuz i don't like the guy... he's our only viable trade chip & his value will only decrease as the season goes on unless he just plays out of his mind or we sign him up longterm to a very reasonable contract, which i don't see happening... he'll want a ton of money when the season's over so if we wait til the trading deadline not many teams are gonna wanna give up much for a rent-a-player that they will only have for a couple months.

there are some really athletic PF's that will be available in the mid-late 1st round this year, namely Pat Patterson of Kentucky... i would gladly replace D Lee w/a guy like that in our frontcourt next year... Chandler as a stopgap solution at PF this season would be fine by me... would open up a role for Gallo once he's ready to play.

As long as Lee gets his points and rebounds a team will not care about him starting because his game is not based on offensive ability. His game is based on high energy plays, hustling, and bring in rebounds. If Lee is put on the injured list or starts getting 10 minutes a game then teams will raise their eyebrows.

You guys put way too much stock into 5 game stretches. GM's aren't idiots. They know when a player's value is low and when it is high.

You left Lee supposed improved shooting and defense out of your "C'mon UK, stop believing the BS" thread.

So you tell me: Is Lee's value lower or higher after a good 5 game stretch or after a terrible 5 game stretch?

I think in D'Antony system the players are not so important.
He can take 70% of NBA players and make them look good.
Other 30% he will not even try (see Eddy, Steph).
Lee is fit very well in the system and this is all that matters.
The best is the enemy of the good. Hold on to the good things you have... or be Isiah Tomas.

Okay, then Marbury didn't try during the regular season? Are you aware of his benching Arkrud?

This what I ment.
D'antony will not even try to use players like Steph or Eddy in his system.
I think I was clear enough. Was I?

When you say Marbury will not try, that means the player himself will not give the effort.

In this case, the coach will not try.

I understand what you mean now.

almost seems like it's just a matter of time until D Lee gets traded to the Warriors... i seriously hope we get more than just Harrington back in the deal tho, even tho i like him as a player.

C - Zach / Curry / Giantfecalmatter
PF - Harrington / Grouperlips
SF - Chandler / Q Rich / Rooster
SG - Jamal / Nate
PG - Duhon / Mardy / Roberson

i can live w/that this season if we have two 1st rounders in the draft... offer up Malik & Lee for Harrington & a protected 1st rounder.
