I think they can challenge the Lakers. They have the best player in the game in Amare Stoudemire their starting 5 is very balanced they have a great bench [best in nba or darn close to it] and they can get through periods where shaq doesnt play or goes b-b

They are 1-1 against last years play-offs team. Beaten by NO and that Spurs team was with them to the end w/o Manu.

Briggs a lot of people know I am a huge amare fan, I also for the past couple of years felt he was one of the best players in the league. I am not sure he is the best, but top 3 for sure...

Even though he's old now, having Shaq to play beside him has definitely helped him.

yea, shaq is older, but he can still play at a pretty high level for short stretches. That will make any good team better..
