Your talking about 'Joe' Lieberman' right?
Well, it's not against the law to wanna support whoever you want to support. The only real crime here is that he went against a party that I thought he distanced himself from. I mean if he went Republican, then maybe he believes in their positions more than he agrees with the Democrats.
People have switched before and it won't be the last. I'm not so sure if it has a direct affect on interfering with 'homeland security' though.
It's one of those gray areas and hard to know what to say about it.
I think the important thing is, is that it's over with now. We can all put it all behind us and go on with the business of the important things that are happening right now. It's time to reach over to the other sides and say 'hey' I'd like to try to work this out. Can we talk'?
Let's stop hammering people anymore just because one's hair is green and the other is purple.
Unity is one thing but there must always be consequences to ones actions. Without consequences there would be no order. There are no gray areas sometimes. Without consequences heros would be meaningless, how can we reward ones bravery if there was nothing to be brave about. Criminals would go unpunish. He did what he did knowing these risk, I find it small of him to try to hide behind a banner of unity. What's next gamblers demanding back their money at the craps table when those dice come up snake eyes. He gambled and lost. No my friend, sometimes an example must be made and then everyone can break bread. Here this should help you understand 4949, think of Sen. Lieberman as Stephon Marbury. It's time to put him on the inactive list in his street clothes. You may still be in the caucus but you won't be see any playing time unless there is a severe injury.
