Ward with out Ewing, I just don't see this guy avg more then 8ppg and 5ast 2'5rbs. That really sucks in this system especially if you logging major mins. Does somebody know something i don't know, is he holding back...WTH

Ward was better than Duhon is.

Ward was a winner.

Duhan a 4 year starter for Duke with ACC and national championship qualifications.

He is not our savior, but a start in the right direction. We don't have many players with winning backgrounds.

Duhon is Jared Jeffries at the point guard position.

I don't know what you guys are seeing.....the guy is a terrible basketball player. Stop repeating stuff people are saying about him cuz its not true.

Duhon and Ward in the same sentence? Someone please shoot this man. A better comparison is Duhon=Eisley.

I really don't understand why everyone is so down on Duhon, is it the money that we paid him for 2 years ? The guy is a good quality serviceable player, he plays defense, he can run the offense and looks to get guys involved. We really need to stop with these comparison to the 90's era knicks, it gets us nowhere. I'm currently happy with Duhon, to me all he needs to do is improve his 3pt shooting because he's going to get a few open looks a game.

What this team needs is some damm spot up 3pt shooters, the league has really lost those players over the years. People like dell curry, dale ellis, miller, price, everyone is one on one

Doesn't effect the cap situation yeah, but the Knicks coulda signed someone else cheaper for two years and then signed a guy they could actually use like a shooting guard or a big man.

who woulda made a difference signed to a 2 year MLE contract? Chris Anderson? come on... Sasha Vujacic woulda been a nice addition but he signed a 3 year deal to stay in LA... that wouldn't have fit the 2010 plan Walsh had in mind when he signed Duhon to begin with... i'm not saying this to be snotty, just dunno what players u're talking about that we shoulda signed instead.

the main difference IMO was the fact that Ward played alongside guys like Ewing, Oakley, Starks, Camby, Spree, etc., all players who were defensive minded

You're absolutely right. The Knicks defense i the 90's was anchored by their frontcourt. They made the backcourt guys look like much better defensive players than they were...even Starks. Starks played good D but he was undersized and had the propensity to get abused by regular-sized and big shooting guards.

Gerald Wilkins on the other hand, could go toe-to-toe muscle-wise with anybody.
