Nate is avg 2.5 so far and Duhan is avg 2...

thats 2 o the top 10 in steals......... granted its early but i could see this continuing.... we just need a shotblocker!!!!

Why couldnt we pick up someone like Turiaf or Chris Anderson this summer?????

PEJ i miss you

I don't know even though curry is a fat azz he should get some run a center soon. They need his size lets hope that D'Antonican make him get in shape and play harder than he has ever played. But that is asking for a lot. Curry when he wants to can be a decnt shot blocker but that has always been his problem motivation.

Curry's size alone can cause others to not take it inside as much as they would without him in there. Curry needs to foul out of a few games to prove that point though. If you come inside, you get hit.

As a matter of fact, that's exactly how I'd use him.

He doesn't necessarily have to block shots to be effective. His conditioning is the real question. And what about this thing with the heart? Is that a real concern? If it's just a matter of getting him into shape, then hire a couple of workout gals to motivate him and get him into shape.

When Jeffries returns, in defensive needs during key parts of a game, Curry can fill the middle and Jeffries can act as the intimidator. Make them earn it from the outside.

And yes, the steals have sky rocketed with these Knicks. Imagine if they can 'get good at it'?

Jeffries and intimidator should not be used in the same sentence. Our number one goal should have been to get a shot blocker. Ronny Turiaf would be a beast in this system.

Okay then. For what it's worth. 'Minimal Intimidation as opposed to zero intimidation'. It's something, better than nothing. It could be the difference of 4 to 6 points difference that could win us those close games.

It's a very fundamental way to help win games.

You've got to be kidding me? The guy is 6-11 yet rebounds worse then Nate, never blocks shots and is totally useless on offense. He's tall, that's where it ends with Jared...

LOL...you stole the words right off my keyboard. Even with Eddy (Just Jump) Curry, how often wold we see guards just waltz into the paint, unfazed make uncontested layups. Curry wouldn't help in the paint at all. If it aint his man, it aint his responsibility. At leats thats how it seems. He never, ever releases off his man to help in the paint.

why do we have to keep being reminded of what he/they can't' do? What about what they can' do?

Seems like at least half the posters are just hopeless like this (above). These last several years have taught you well.

I like that idea. If Eddie blocks the other players from driving to the basket, that is almost as good as blocking their shot!

Interesting stat on Curry is that he has only averaged more than 30 min/game ONCE.....that was 2006-07 when he had his best year. Lifetime - 25min/game

Eddie's last 3 years with the Knicks
  • 2005 25:53
  • 2006 35:12
  • 2007 25:53

What this says is that even if Eddie gets into shape you can't count on him playing the normal amount of time for a starter. We'll need back-up for him. JJ2, David Lee, etc.
