Briggs, what is the point of this post? You are saying we wont win this year. Did you just realize this? Obviously we will suck and we are a small team but right now it is what it is. Hopefully we draft a center and develop him next year.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

LOL. You laugh Phar my friend, but that kid Williams is a legit 6'9"/6'10", defensive-minded, with a long reach and heavier than before (pushing 260 lbs. now supposedly). You give him Malik's 9 useless minutes and maybe a few more and I betcha that kid would've had an impact tonight against a team with plus size like Philly.

I can't wait to see Thabeet play soon. If he's made any strides at all towards becoming a more complete player and he's there when we pick, provided Brandon Jennings isn't (gun to my head, I'd rather draft a lead PG for the future over size and this kid's gonna be the best one in the draft, I don't want to hear about Rubio), I think you gotta grab Thabeet if you're the Knicks. I can't stand seeing the Knicks trying to compete w/o any size - you just can't do it on most nights (think David lee will ever even win a jumpball to start off a game all season??). That kid Thabeet would solve almost every problem we have up front. It's early and we've got an entire college season to watch and evaluate (which mean I'll probably change my mind about a hundred times), but as of right now those are my two guys I like the most for the Knicks - 1 Jennings, 1A Thabeet. Jennings position may actually slip a little in the draft with the move to Europe. We'll have to see....

I believe that kid Rob Kurz was cut loose by Golden State Briggs. I liked his size, rebounding, competitiveness and long range touch like you had mentioned. Too bad we've got management/an owner that refuses to budge when it comes to buying out a useless player or two for the greater good.

Finestrg, you still on. I can't sleep either.

I hear you on Justin Williams. I was just joking with Briggs because I know how much he been saying we need to get him in here. I am surprise Donnie didn't jump on this. But it sounds like it Mr. Pringles call and I get the feeling from him that he got his rotation set until Fishlips gets back and/or Curry gets into better shape. I don't see him as one of those guys that likes to bring guys in after he got that rotation set. Shaq was a unique case last year. Also the fact that Brown waived him may hurt Williams a lot.

I agree I made the same point in the game post. This may be the begining of the season but my frustation is already in mid season form.

I could see feeling the same way, but I have been numbed by the past several seasons, and the off season moves (signing Roberson, releasing Pat jr.), only led me to believe this year is no different than any other year.

Briggs- is it lack of height up front or the unreal inability of our wing defenders to do their job?

I think its a combination of both.

Face reality- we are five years out from being righted as an organization and roster.

It's just not size in the frontcourt--it's at every position except when Wilson comes in.

Give it time. It is only the 2nd game of the season geeeez. Absolutely agree Wilson should get 40 mins a game. I dont really think of Knicks as a small team except for nate. Things shall fall in place as the season progresses.

It wasn't so much that they are small. Its that the Knicks outside shooter are basically streaky shooters. There isn't one player on that team with a knock down jumper except maybe for Zach. The rest are low percntage shooters on the team.

They do need a center though. I thought Curry could of helped them in this game.

See I don't agree that Chandler should get 40 minutes per game. At least not right now. If anything he should be sitting out. Something is obviously wrong with his knee, he isn't extending that leg he is babying it as he moves around the court. But then at the same time he is still trying to play over the rim etc. We're playing with his health, and for what? 33 wins? Let the kid heal.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

They should have invested in a center, if not two years ago, then this last June! I mean if we're going after a superstar in LeBron, Wade or Bosh, then doesn't anyone think we should have gotten a center into place first? Forget about getting a key point or more forwards. LeBron, etc. is it. So getting a center who could serve as.................well...........a center would have been the wiser investment and all the more incentive to get rid of Zach and Curry. Good grief!
I'll never trust this' team again.

It is all about first game was misleading.
Heat is terrible team and they will compete with us for 1-st pick again. Only this year they may be better than us.
With Sixers we saw Zack, Jamal, and Q being what they are - players who making teams bad. They are wasting time and space with negative result and sometimes great stats which is irrelevant to winning.
As of other guys - they can be OK but it is not known as their time is not there yet.
If somebody looking for the system… Forget it for at least one 4-5 month. It takes time and sometimes it will never work with some players.
Rangers are with best start ever (10-2-1) and leading the NHL so I care less.

how come you always leave out Lee? Q and Zach have been part of decent teams in their careers. Lee never has. Lee played much worse than Zack last night.

Why do you always leave out Lee arkrud?

Lee is a good player but that about it. I have him giving up on his jumper about 5 games into the season.
