"I want to stay here. I'm happy in New York. I just think it'll take some work, but I'm happy staying," Curry told ESPN.com.

But the length of Curry's stay could be brief. The Knicks are one of several teams that have contacted the Golden State Warriors about disgruntled forward Al Harrington, though the Warriors are said to be more interested in a package built around David Lee (16 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists against the Heat).

One source told ESPN.com that Golden State's best offers were coming from two Western Conference rivals, but that management would prefer to ship him to the East. A straight up Curry-for-Harrington deal would appear to fill needs for both clubs, although Golden State would be taking on an extra year of salary and making a risky investment in a player viewed by many around the league as too undriven emotionally to ever be an impact player on a contending team.

I dont really see how Harrington helps us... Unless Q Rich is involved and he replaces him??? Still... does he expire by 2010?

Al Harrington expires next year. He most certainly helps in that respect and that's all that really matters.

Curry for Harrington is fine. If they want Lee, they can give us Randolph.

Harrington for Eddy Corny? If it is true, I'll carry Corny to California on my back. I'm not a Harrington fan, but he is better than EC. And he can run and shoot.

By the way, D'Antoni, Harrington is bitching in the press and he is starting and being featured. That is how you get rid of baggage players that can actually play. Especially baggage like Marbury that is valuable because of the biggest expiring contract in the NBA.

oohah

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

agree.

Marbury for Harrington Ellis and Brandan Wright works in the trade checker (after Dec 15th)

And why in God's name does GS make that trade?
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Yeah man I don't get it. Still I'd do it but maybe golden state might need a point guard since Stephen Jackson ran the point last night. Trading them Steph makes no sense cuz of the salary......since there was a rumor that Memphis wanted the Knicks to pay some of Zachs salary in the summer to make a deal......maybe Golden State could do the same.

b/c they've extended don nelson and gave maggette 50 million biedrens 50 mill turiaf 20 mill and drafted andolph.

other factors:

they've reserved the right to void ellis' contract even after the suspension is over so him being wanted by the org after this summers events seems in question

nelson doesn't play wright. gs has not picked up his option. they let their other lottery pick O' Bryant walk after the same course of events.

Here's a deal I thought up.
Move Lee and Q-Brick for Harrington, with a follow up move of Mardy and Sir Pull a chair for Josh Howard. What do you guys think?

Wright is a valuable piece for them. I have no doubt he will work his way into the rotation. And if he doesn't, Marbury does not hold this much value. And if he does, this trade is terrible for the Knicks. Why are we taking on Ellis' contract? This destroy the 2010 plan. I'll pass on this either way. Trade Curry or Crawford for Harrington, not Marbury.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Warriors want Marbury and was hoping that he got waive. Just do Nellie a solid and waive him and maybe he will make the Curry trade. I guess you have to make sure Marbury chooses Oakland though.

The first thing I thought when I saw Marbury sitting on the end of the bench was....wonder if he's in play? Then there's this Harrington headline all over the web today. Don't know if it adds up, but you never know.

BTW - I bumped into Clyde this afternoon...almost literally. I was walking down the street and was almost on top of him when I realized who he was. I said "hey!, alright!!!" he was startled, but I could swear I saw a smile on his face as he turned the corner
