I don't know why this hasn't happened yet but an Ostertag for Eisley and Harrington just makes perfect sense on both sides.

Utah has been trying to off-load Ostertag for the longest time. They will get a starting PG they are familiar with and a PF that can start in an emergency. Plus they have no players. A starting five of C-K Clark, PF-O Harrington, SF-Kirilenko, SG-Harpring, PG-Eisley is much better than what they field right now.

The Knicks would be able to get rid of Eisleys contract and get a stop gap center till next year.

Layden! You need to get this done!

Good Idea, problem is, eisley is big money for a starting point, and if Ward gets hurt (and he does) we only have frank.

Problem is if you don't get this done your stuck with Eisley and pretty much end any hope of having Vujanic on the KNicks. He isn't coming if there is no space for him and he doesn't get the money.

I agree that getting rid of Eisley would expose us thin at the PG position but I beleive that a free agent pickup couldn't do any worse than Eisley. If he does this deal he can pick up any of the remaining PG free agents (according to realgm.com)

1. Shammond Williams
2. Khalid El-Amin
3. Rod Strickland

Just make sure to sign these guys on the cheap and only 1 year to make room for Milos.

Also, Eisley at Utah would be a perfect scenario. Utah is in rebuilding mode, playing Eisley for 2 years gives them an excellent trade asset in the 3rd year.

I'm sure Utah can get 10 times a better deal than that. They probably would require any trade of Ostertag include Amechi as well.

I don't see us making any more big deals until--- perhaps the trade deadline.
I think they may have to consider eating Knight's contract.
There are many ending contracts that are going nowhere and we need a 2G. We can get Dion Glover on the cheap, but we need a roster spot. I dont see any value in keeping Knight on the bench again.

I think you are giving too much value on Ostertag. I don't beleive that any team would be knocking on Utah's door giving them anything more than what we can give them. They have 2 PGs in their roster that is not ready for prime-time. Not to say that Eisley is ready but Eisley represents a typical Jazz player. He is a good citizen that plays within the system.

If Ostertag bombs with the Knicks at least we get rid of Eisley's contract.
