Amazing!!!! All I saw was the future with this kid.

#1 he guarded Shaun Livingston with no problem. No Problem!!!! Don't give me any lip about Shauns legs.....the guy is still quick athletic and has a handle. Gallinari stayed in front of him and got up on Shaun. He wasn't afraid to play aggresive.

Oh my GOD!!!! D'antoni has these Knicks looking at 3 options every time someone moves with the ball!!!!

Ok back to Gallinari......

His first shot was a wide open three, he didn't feel the shot so he took a dribble in and still missed. His second shot was a wide open 3 pointer in the corner!!!!! WOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Yo man I could see the future on those two plays cuz when the kid starts to hit them and we all know he will......the defense will respect him and come out.

what did you say? oh yeah his handle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes guys the kid when left on cook and quickly threw it behind the back. No not a wrap around....nooooooooooooooo!!!!! It was a quick jamal Crawfordesque dribble and would have had a lay-up or Nate in the corner for 3!!!!

ALL I got to say is this kid is gonna be so special. Wooooooooooooooo!!!!! He's gotta stay healthy.....he's gonna get these minutes....when he starts to make jumpers he will play more and we are gonna see a ball player fellas.

I'm gonna pray for this 20 year old kid......I almost had a heart attack watching him......I'm telling you I can see the future all in 3 minutes and 32 seconds.

I thought he looked very aggressive on defense. I was impressed.

He was really tentative about his shot though. You could tell he was thinking too much. A couple times he was so open, he just has to let it fly with no hesitation.

From what we saw in him in summer league, the kid likes to feel the game out and was probably suprised he was so open. He probably didnt was to come out shooting.....oh baby when this kid gets settled into the team and learns his teamates.......VD? baby we are gonna have a ball player. I'm gonna get a heart attack.

If he can hold his own on defense on a consistent basis and chip in about 6-8 RPG when he is eventually a starter, he can be a lower level star in the league. I don't worry about his jumper at all (When you read stories about him hitting 3 pt shots with his left hand, you have to believe that his shot will eventually fall with great consistency.)- I am more interested in seeing how his driving ability and post-up game translates to the NBA.

Great to see that he was actually able to get some minutes in during game # 1.

It will be fun watching Gallinari and Chandler develop.

Your exclamation points ruin the margins on the page. Besides that, Gallinari will show his worth when he get into better shape and into a rhythm. Tonight was not a night to judge him. We know he's a player. It's now a matter of when he will show what he's got. This year though I see averages of like 7 PPG with decent minutes. For a rookie yar, that's pretty damn good.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

I was wondering what was up with the margins. LOL! Hey Eny's excited. Nothing wrong with that. So am I. In fact, I just got done mentioning on the game thread that I was disappointed D'Antoni did get him back in the game in the second half. Up 20 2nd half at home. No excuses. You're not gonna get a better opportunity to get this kid some stress-free minutes than in the second half tonight when we were up big. Missed opportunity by D'Antoni. Oh well, at least he got some minutes and he looked good physically. He looked fairly quick and nimble to me guarding a smaller player, a PG. Good sign was when he hit the deck and slid a few feet on his back under the basket - he hopped up to his feet quickly, showing no ill effects from the back problem.

Not enough time to judge the kid, but he moved fluidly, and that behind the back dribble was nice. Looked a little nervous but that is understandable.. Lets hope he gets more time. I think he will be much better the next time out..

seeing Gallo stand next to Wilson Chandler that kid really is a legit 6'10"... for a guy that tall he moves around the court w/nice fluidity & his aggressiveness on D is a lot better than the "He's Euro, he plays no D" experts warned us about.

Didn't get to see the game last night but thanks for all your input for this 3min 22 seconds of work! Nice to see he could stay in front of a hobbled Livingston Think there was some seriousness anyway to your post though EnySpress

The good thing is that this is a sort of message to us fans. D'Antoni plays with a small rotation so if Gallo is getting a couple of minutes now, being out of shape (not Curry out of shape mind you) and slightly injured, this does bode well for the season. So, we can look forward to more Gallo!

Peace out,
EMS

Wow' and someone told that I blew my' nuts early, but Eny you make a fine investment by laying it on the line now! Good for you man. That's what I like, Most people don't have the balls and instead decide to be critical because it's safer that way. Good for you.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Extremely impressive. Compared to that Greg Oden put in a Bill Russell like performance in his debut. Have it come to this giving props to a man guarding a poor guy coming off one of the worst knee injuries ever witness on live television. Low expectations.

I thought he looked like a skinny less fluid Keith Van Horn but without the good rebounding

You can't see the future like me.....the dude played a little more than 3 mins.

He has minutes waiting for him.....Collins and Malik. Jared is gonna replace Malik hopefully, then Gallo will get the rest.

I can see the future.

I need to take your post in perspective. Maybe others can chime in, of your 5000 plus posts, how many are optimistic or there abouts? Clearly you can't see the future from 3 minutes, but can others see the future from lots of previous game footage? Or maybe others can see a bit more of the future from interviews, preseason (ok, 1 game) and the previous lot?

We can see the future and it's Obama, I mean Gallo!

Seriously, kids got game, which side of the fence do you want to be sitting on? Even if you are right (Which would make you psychic, are you?) it's so much more fun seeing the light in things. Again, seriously, if you watch the kids game he has it.

I guess I am the only one that thought he didnt look good lol

I do have a little trust in Walsh so I certainly think he's got NBA talent. At pick 6 he freakin better have. Just worried about his back.

BTW, I would put my "future" insight up against many of these posters on this board. I still waiting for a lot of their can't misses to actually make it.

I was concerned about what he would do defensively and he did look good in that respect. As far as his shot, we all know he can shoot the ball, but having played only once since last season, it's understandable that he's rusty. He didn't seem to look for rebounds - being too quick to get back on d. A big guy like that should look for boards.
Lets talk about Gallinari 3 minutes and 32 seconds of play
