When is all of this going to blow up in MDA face? You the HMIC (Head Moron in Charge) not in the rotation. We will have a meltdown of epic proportions from Steph before the tree goes up in Rockefeller center. You have Curry who wont be playing so you have two inside guys for most of the year. I think if Steph makes it to Jan. it will be a miracle.

I find your premise flawed in that MDA has NOTHING to worry about. The fans won't side with the players if any of them act up and he has the juice card so, he can just marginalize any player that acts up. It doesn't matter if he loses a player who hasn't shown the dedication to the game he demands. They are going to be sent packing anyway so why should he care what they think? Dolan and Walsh have his back and he knows it.

It is MDA problem because he cant get rid of all the bad apples right now. You have to get rid of Steph, Quentin, Zach, and Jerome in that order and Walsh doesnt like buying out contracts so we are stuck.

i can't believe Steph's going to be a distraction this year... i think he's really turned the page on his career & will be a good soldier from now on... at least that's what my magic 8 ball just told me.

The players no longer have the power. MDA can easily give Nate and Chandler more minutes or play Mardy, Gallo and Roberson if anyone acts up. There are enough players who have bought in and like to play. He's already got Zach and Lee on his side. Zach was a big one, cuz he's less likely to blow up on you if he's getting major minutes. Once Jared comes back he's got another guy along with Malik who will support him.

As long as you keep Jerome supplied with ho ho's he'll keep quiet.

I love MDA but I think you have to get Steph out of the locker room and I dont understand why they just dont waive him. This team needs no distractions and they could win some games.

Mike and Walsh are here for years.

Expectations are low for this season.

Everyone understands it could take up to 3 full seasons to turn things into - at the very least - a team cracking the 2nd round of the playoffs.

Anyone looking for heads to roll this early is just far too impatient.

I too am not happy with this offseason but I will still tick to my guns and say that I give them until late February 2010, just after the deadline, to prove to me this team is ABSOLUTELY headed in the right direction. That means a solid core - even if young - playing at .500 at the very least and improving before our very eyes - along with the flexibility to add to them during the 2010 offseason.

Until then I won't call for anyone's head but I still reserve the right to argue and criticize the moves made.

So far I'm not very happy with anything that has been done.

Still too early though to start loading up the shotgun looking to drag Donnie behind the tool shed.

i'm with u in being patient to see results in terms of winning, absolutely... but u gotta start somewhere & u can't start any sort of recovery if the source of your illness still lingers... u gotta cut the negative elements & move forward towards real healing... it's gotta be a little worrysome why that hasn't yet happened.

I think Walsh has made three huge mistakes so far. I think they should have traded Lee if they werent going to sign him it will call more money to sign him next year. I think they should have drafted Eric Gordon, and I think they should have waived Steph, and Jerome to start the year. I think 20 games into the season Quentin, Steph, Curry, will never see the floor and they will be cancers in the locker room. I am excited if they cut of the cancer this team can win 35 games.

Oh, I agree, and I'm sure I've made multiple posts where I called for Jerome and Malik to be waived... Zach Curry and Crawford to be traded, Marbury to be waived, ETC.

Yet those were apparently dream scenario's that weren't going to all happen right off the bat. So, I will fume on the one hand that they have not happened, but on the other hand I will give into the fact that I am not an NBA GM and as long as a number of these situations are resolved - or about to be resolved - by March 2010 - that I will still at least be on board the Walsh/DAntoni "bandwagon". Not the bandwagon of "can do no wrong" of course. Just....supportive in as patient a manner I can be.

To me things are two fold as a fan. There's the long term commitment that has plenty of time to come together ---- and there's the short term, ex:"What? malik over Ewing Jr!? THIS SUCKS!" type scenarios.

In the near term I will probably be a bitter and negative fan who resorts to name-calling of our players as we stink the place up. In the long term (given the date I specified) I will still be patient and supportive and believe that there is at least a chance that by that date we will be in much better shape and looking up and up.

agreed, if Walsh had sent Marbs packing somehow i woulda been a lot more optimistic that real change was on the horizon... now i'm not so sure... Dolan's refusal to buy out Marbs & Turd's contracts means Walsh's power to enact real change is still severely hampered... makes me worried about how much real change Walsh can accomplish in the next few years.

According to the latest article on the front page, Walsh is going to look to see if D'Antoni can breath some life into this team. And if it fails, then and only then will he start making such trades and possible waives to open it up for the Bosh, LeBron and Wade sweepstakes. And LeBron has already said if this isn't the championship year for him in Cleveland, then he's gone after next year.

Walsh is going to bring LeBron to New York.
I'll never trust this' team again.

That would make sense if Lebron cant win in his hometown he can come to a franchise that hasnt won anything for 35 years instead and have no real supporting cast around him. I dont think Lebron is ready to be second fiddle to the Italian Stallion

Eddy Curry is a fat lazy welfare type player. He doesn't deserve to play, just because a depressed delusional excuse for a gm traded away two draft picks and tried to fool most of you into thinking he could play doesn't mean he should be in the rotation. He didn't rebound when he played, didn't score and played with no urgency.

The guy is lucky he isn't broke and can provided for his illegitimate kids. Time for him to step up and actually earn something, being tall doesn't entitle you to minutes. He wasn't sick most of the summer yet he came in 30 pounds heavier than he needed to be.

Come on man! You know this team is going to be built and revamped by the time LeBron gets to New York. Walsh is going to keep our strongest pieces and anyone else who can run the D'Antoni style and this time he's going to put and keep in perspective the contracts the way they should' have been in the first place. Guys like Curry, Zach, James, Malik, Marbury, Jeffries, these guys are out the door one way or another. Stop thinking about them anymore. We got a new team coming real soon, with our established young guys and the emergence of the man with two first names.
I'll never trust this' team again.
