pros and cons

walsh probably felt having expirings like malik or jerome (next year) is more beneficial than keeping a raw player like ewing and trying to develop him. they probably knew it from the get go so i'm not sure why he was even brought here...

Ewing Jr was brought here to sucker punch the fans with nostalgia. This was a major Isiah tactic by Walsh.

Why have these two guys around pardon me .... Freudian slip. Why have this one guy and that fat ol' tub of lard James stick around who are not in the future plans of the franchise??? Yes they have expiring contracts aren't we going for broke in 2010 anyway so should we just let them expire instead of trading them for more contracts. Ewing could have signed a one year contract.

this is ****in crap, as fans we like to have something to root for. EWING WAS SOMETHING TO ROOT FOR.

This is bull ****, i am so pissed........... I have lost faith in Donnie to do the right thing already and am starting to think hes Dolans bitch.. times are tough and maybe james didnt want to pay anyone... bull****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guys, I think everyone seriously needs to calm down. I liked Ewing Jr as much as anyone but let's get real here. It's not like we just let LeBron slip through our fingers.

I honestly got a feeling he'll be back with this team at some point this year. As soon as a trade goes down, whenever that is, Ewing will be brought back.

I think Donnie is just doing what comes naturally to him. Maybe someday we'll praise him for this move. Today, I'm disappointed.

I just don't think he quite understands the depth of the fans' alienation from this franchise.
