Cause it sure did for me, at times I had to make sure IT wasn't on the bench. I kept lookin at the shot clock going down to like 10 secs, and no ball movemnt. I though the philosophy was to move the ball and get the best shot.

I think it needs to be said over and over that it's not about this season or next but about 2010.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

But yet you'll still watch every game like its your last and and bash others with your mindless posts.

How about you just don't post here until 2010, since that is all that matters to you ?

Who the hell are you? Go back into hiding because you obviously don't know me or what I post about.

Glad to see see your definition of "hiding" has been reduced to non activity on a Knick forum.

The guy said he's a little excited about the upcoming season, and you put up one of your typical f-nut posts. You obviously are just excited as him, if not more due to your unnecessary contributions to every single thread.

Hey buddy, like I said, go back into hiding because you are totally clueless and looking to start something out of nothing.

I'm not excited, not until 2010. And I barely watch anything now so please get informed on that.

But I am still up for discussion on the team and I am letting this man here realize that there is nothing to get excited for next year or this year.

So do yourself a favor and go start trouble with anyone else. I;m not looking to get into an argument with someone as misinformed as you.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Yep. Just as I suspected. Came here to try and start trouble. Nice job but you can go find someone else to bait my friend.

But to answer your question: I am giving him advice. Having lower expectations will make the next few years more pleasurable for him. I am living in reality. Come join me.

Weather so or not, Fans wouldn't be booing if there just thinking, "Oh well were just buying time, waiting for KING JAMES ", We never go into a season as fans thinking we aren't suited to make a run at a playoff spot. I know if we get off to a 15-10 start, people will be oozing with optimism. The media and all are tired of having new york be the nba doormats.

The casual fans in attendance will boo and even if they're not casual they will boo the present. The die-hards know that the time is not now but the future. They will be patient.

I think to go into a season with playoff expectations after winning 23, 33, and 23 games the last 3 seasons and making no significant roster changes is high expectations. If you lower the bar, as many fans I believe already have, you will be able to enjoy the season and hopefully see some of our younger talent like Gallinari and Chandler develop even if we lose.

It took until the end of nov before I started watching the highlights only. Im pump at the start of every season, I always think we could make it until the fat lady comes out. Im a die hard and I know the game pretty damn well. Im not disagreeing with your assesment because you do have a point. I just think Mike D has some talent that will blossom in this system, and will probably produce a 6th man award in either Nate, Chandler, or steph.

Yes. I was thinking that the Knicks had been playing their starters major minutes for the entire preseason and they did well until teams settled on a rotation for the last few games. The Knicks should have beaten the team the Nets put on the floor at home with their starters.

We really need the season to start already so that we can all stop arguing with each other.

The last couple of games were pretty bad, but I do think that well get better as the year goes along. And if we do suck, I hope we bomb...we still have our pick this year so its either playoffs or bust to me

Not for me. DT tried that crazy line up against Boston in a game that Boston was more motovated to win. The Jersey game was just an off game for the team, especially D Lee and Zach. I understand those who have a "wait until 2010" attitude. The problem is that some of you try to bring the other "optimist" down a peg or two. It is not anyone's job to "lower someones expectations". It was very hard to come on this board toward the end of last season because there was way too much a negative vibe. This is supposed to be a social place for Knicks fans, we all have points of view but there are those who want to "beat you over the head" with theirs. I will be glad when they get rid of some of the terrible contracts/players but until that time, I want to see this team play hard and win as much as possible. I am exited for this year and no I don't expect anymore than about 33 to 37 wins, I'd want more but I can live with that because it represents progress. This team looked bad for the last few years because Isiah didn't have anything resembling set plays or offensive design, they looked and played like a streetball team with no real direction. I and many others don't live in New York and will never get to see a live Knicks game so we come here to read, share, laugh and be a part of an this community. I'd like that to be a fun and pleasurable experience and I'd bet there are others who would like it also. I don't understand those who come to this board if they don't want or expect this team to win because you would have very little positive to say/share. I'm just expressing thoughts and an opinion and not looking for a fight.

All of us are, really. There are a few with hidden agendas but for the most part everyone here is a diehard Knick fan who wants to see the team win eventually and be alive to witness a title. The approaches we take are different but the outlook is the same. We all share a common bond. It's just that some people get offended by someone with a negative opinion. There hasn't been much to be positive about all these years and there still isn't. It is only natural that there will be a "negative vibe" on a losing team forum, especially the way the Knicks lost last year.

A lot of us are not going to sugarcoat like Isiah. It's a New York thing. We speak our mind and let our feelings be known. At least I do. I do get where you're coming from an what you mean but forums were created for a variety of opinions, feelings, and thoughts. If that is a complaint, then maybe reading the Knicks.com write-ups would suit some people best? Because no matter what happens with the Knicks, Knicks.com of course plays it down considerably. But back to your point, this is NY and New York Knick fans will always have their opinions. Positive or negative, they will let them be known. I know I do.

Am I bitter? Yes, probably. I put my heart and soul into a team that spits in my face constantly. Now I know we all went through this so I'm not being selfish or anything but I feel betrayed by my team. This mostly stems from Isiah Thomas and James Dolan. And as long as Dolan is there, I'm always skeptical. Even without Dolan it's like that fear of something bad happening because you know it always does. I still love the team but I do not love most of the players on it. Like I said, they spit in my face last year with their pathetic play and I hold no respect for many of them. Luckily though, there are still a few things worth watching on the Knicks for the next few years, like Danillo Gallinari (without back issues) and Wilson Chandler. It will be interesting to see how much they develop. Both are young kids. It's a wait and see approach. But as for the current crop of players, I don't really have any root left for them besides rooting for them to get traded and in that case you can say I'm rooting for them to play well so they can take their garbage contracts and attitudes elsewhere. But realistically speaking, 30-35 wins is where we will end up and I believe that most of us have the same thinking. We're definitely not pulling a Celtics, that's for sure.

So to conclude a long and probably rambling post, the point is we all have a right to express our opinions and nobody "hammers in" anything on anyone else. We all present different opinions, they clash, we argue and that's that. It's tough when fans fight amongst themselves. Losing does that to people but we'll get through it. Just remember that our opinions, especially mine, are own opinions and not meant to insult anyone or force someone to follow that opinion. I am not an angry, vile, or sadistic person as some here may view me as. I'm quite a happy go-lucky person to be honest with you. I'm just a disgruntled Knick fan hurt by years of mental pain. I'm also a realist and tell things the way I see it and the way I believe reality is. It's not going to win me many votes but that's me and I can't change me. I appreciate your time to make that post and thank you.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

It only zaps my excitement when most others go into depression & critical mode. Then I start getting negative myself. But I'm trying to be better.

It's really a matter of how much people believe in them. I for one want to give them a new chance, because it's a new system and needs some time and support, but most posters in Knick country are so used to disappointment, that it's a very hard thing to overcome at times.

Believe.
I'll never trust this' team again.
