I was very pleased with Mardy's. He earned a spot on the roster and I hope he gets some playing time, although I doubt he makes the rotation. Wilson Chandler continues to develop into a starting caliber forward. I think he takes Q's starting spot by mid-season. Eddy Curry is beyond disappointing. David Lee continues to develop his game. I just wish he could play better d. Nate is in his element - shooting 3's and running the court. Zach fits this offense better than I thought he would.

The new system is gonna change a lot of minds about certain players. To here the Collins is doing well points to that direction. But lets wait for about 20 games to find out who's for real.

I am disappointed that Curry fell off D'Antoni's list.
I'll never trust this' team again.

I always thought Nate and Zach would do well. I am surprised that Q hasn't played that well. He lost weight, is in shape, and had already played this system with D'A in Phoenix. But it is only pre-season.

David Lee is a pleasant surprise. He has really picked up his game and has a great intensity on the court.

Zach did better than expected.
Crawful did worse than expected but was a surprise as a role player all the same I thought he did well as a role player.
Mardy was a nice surprise he really got his ass in shape over the summer.

The rest did about what I thought for the most part.

Malik Rose getting so many minutes was a huge surprise. If I were in charge it would have been EwJr getting the minutes instead. Fresh legs and a hungry attitude? Why not play him instead of Malik and his cement shoes?

I'm not surprised about Richardon's performance at all. He's been a bum all of his career with the exception of that year or two with D'antoni in Phoenix. And the "its only preseason" line seems to give free passes to everyone who doesn't play well on this team. Pre-season or not, his jumper just isn't there, and probably won't be there during the regular season.

"Its just pre-season." That's a bunch of BS. You either have the skill to put the ball in the rim or you don't.

I agree with you Q-Rich is a bum and to say that he did well in the Suns system is fooling yourself. The Suns thought enough of him to ship his azz out of town. He had terrible numbers in the D'Antoni system. He shot 38% for the entire year that isn't a mark of a great player. He shouldn't be a starter not when Wilson Chandler is far superior in all aspect of the game. Only reason Q gets run is because the team actualy thinks they can increase his value so it will be easir to once again ship his azz out. But we know that he will never improve on his piss poor shooting.

Mardy, Zach & D Lee w/his newfound jumpshot look better than i ever anticipated... Jamal & Curry have been huge disappointments so far... the rest pretty much look how i expected... Gallo getting injured so early's been a disappointment too, but still waiting to see what he can really do at this level... can't wait til the real games begin.

Not as surprised about Jamal- I think a lot of people mistook D'Antoni's system for wild gunning. There are more shots but they were one of the most efficient shooting teams in the NBA over his tenure. Taking the shot early got them better shots. Jamal could have trouble adjusting.

As per another post, it's actually a system that is well thought out and not just run and gun as I had originally thought. Practice of this system, they can only get better, not worse.
I'll never trust this' team again.

I was actually looking foward to J jeff, He is so essential in this system it's not even funny. If were going to have any kind of defense it starts with him. Just think Camby but a level down.

Jared Jeffries is more like 3 levels down from Camby.

Jeffries is not a factor in deterring players from the lane.

Thank you, Rick Brunson.
