congrats to the rays, even as a yankee fan, I can appreciate this. Baseball needs teams like this occasionally to do well, it gives other small market teams hope. Garza was a stud, I like that kid since his days with the twins, and that price kid in the 8th and 9th inning did a great job,HUGE!!! even though the umps jobbed him on that first strikeout in the 9th... Better Yet, it sends home those Yankee wannabe's from boston!!!!

Now I can watch the WS in peace, as long as boston doesn't have a chance it is all good.. LOL.

somehow the rays winning seems like a victory for the Yankee fans.. hahahahaha I was cheering like the yanks won again..

haha...that was great. i was pumped for them too. each and every pitch means something. that's why MLB >>> NBA + NFL...

but he is also their new closer for the world series. i was BAFFLED why price wasn't brought in for game 5...

nah, this is nice for the rays, but now they will be gunned for. Lets see how they handle that. The yanks will be back on top next year...

Wheeler was never quality enough to be the closer anyway.

I'm not jumping up and down about the Rays but I'm happy as heck Boston is out. I couldn't stand seeing them win again. That being said I'm not all that excited about the Rays becoming a WS champ either...

I'm rooting for the Phillies.

its great to see boston lose but man it sucks to have tampa in our division, league, damn this team is stacked!

longoria was on pace for 40/100+ and a gold glove before he got hurt, crawford and upton are absolute studs...and that pitching, my goodness. tampa will go with garza, kazmir, shields, and price in their rotation next year, that is downright scary.

The Phillies don't have the pitching? They have the best starter in the series in Hamels who will certainly be able to go 2 starts maybe 3. The Phillies also have the better bullpen, Price or no Price.
