I think every poster here should answer this poll. It seems that Berman reports a lot more false information than any other reporter. Yeah, I know Hahn f'ed up a lot this Summer, but before those mistakes, and after, he's been back to being excellent. And since Berman comes here, I think we should be sending him a message that his type of reporting is unacceptable. I personally will no longer be clicking his links.
Yes, cut ties. He brings no integrity.
No, he's good for the site, for whatever reason.

I'm assuming this poll is coming off the heels of the lastest Crawford fiasco. How do we automatically assume what Berman reported is false? Why would he just pull Craws name from a hat and accuse him of doing something he didn't do? We have no way of kowing either way.

i agree, i'm so sick of how these tabloid beat writers always report on these unnamed "sources" whenever they have some BS rumor they wanna start to sell a news story... but like Uptown said there's so many other writers that pull the same shtick it's hard to ban any single guy's stories from showing up on this site for doing it... in the end it's all about who u choose to believe & who u don't... still it's pretty pathetic that Berman reported this story like he'd actually witnessed the incident only to be exposed later on for having gotten it from a 3rd party unnamed "reliable" source, & then instead of apologizing for misleading the public like a man he takes some completely unrelated to the story cheap shots at Jamal in his next news article to try & deflect the attention away from his own bitter embarassment... LOL, he got completely PWN'd by Jamal on this one anyway you look at it.

for the record, i think Jamal does want Marbury outta town, & he very well may have gestured to reporters like Berman said, only he & those reporters will know for sure what actually happened... Jamal was quoted directly by Ken Berger a month ago in a separate article saying things suggestive that he's sick of the Marbury side show as well (http://www.newsday.com/sports/columnists/ny-spberg305864455sep30,0,1344204.column)

1 thing we do know tho, is that Berman didn't see it.

Simply for insisting on dropping the clumsy and un-original "Italian Stallion" on Gallinari, Berman should be banned for at least the first month of the season.

As a believer in freedom of the press, I would hope that enlightened Knicks readers can separate fact from fiction.

Some of the other reporters mentioned talked about trades and were wrong.....I think its totally different.

Craw jestures to reporters is not news......Berman should apply for TMZ or something.

Maybe Martin or Andrew won't ban them but we as posters can refrain from starting threads with his material.

Anyone who supports Jamal Crawford should be removed from this site.

The guy sucks, I don't care about Berman, he can't play in a structured offense all he can do is go one on one and take bad shots.

Or better yet, how about if he would've wrote Steph pointed out Crawford getting into it with a reporter...

I bet my hundred dollars worth of pennies in a jug there would be a 14 page thread about how Steph is a jerk an ass a p.o.s. and what not and how this is more evidence of his derisive devisive disruptive disconcerning anti-Knick anti-NY anti-christ attitude that needs to be jettisoned off this team like yesterday

I don't know about you, but reporters are not the issue here. The issue is the health of the franchise and building towards the future. Berman is loyal to marbury we all know that, crawford doesn't like marbury, do i blame him? no. However Crawford just rubs me the wrong way,,,,,

He is not a good player and watching him is a waste of time. Listening to him point out what needs to be improved with his game is just tiring. He never improves anything, plays zero defense and still takes terrible shots. I hope to god he opts out and get the hell out of new york.

This team could be half way decent if him, q and eddy where else where.

personally i don't think Marbs woulda handled it in the same fashion... Marbs woulda had a "you guys are just out to get me" type attitude & instead of addressing the matter to the writer face to face & then in a blog in this manner, he woulda just stopped talking to the media or to that reporter in question... that's a lot of assuming on my part but past history i think it's fair to think that's how he'd have handled it.

anyway if Jamal had been the disruption to the team that Marbury's been his whole time here & the shoe was on the other foot instead, i wouldn't have blamed Marbs for wanting Jamal outta here either.

Dude, Jamal is a distraction to the team everytime his man blows by him and Curry, Randolph or Lee gets blame for not stopping Jamal's man. His defense and poor shot selection makes every single two guard he plays against look like an all-star.

I highly doubt Jamal did anything close to what Berman described simply because that's not his style. Jamal's not the type of guy to have a problem with a teammate...even one like Marbury. Jamal's been one of Steph's biggest supporters in the locker room and off the court, so most of his frustration is steeped in wanting Steph to get his **** together. Plus Jamal is not going to keep defending one guy at the expense of the team. Still, you don't have to love a guy to play ball with him or to put up with him off the court for the sake of team chemistry.

As for Berman, Isola may be a bitter queen half the time, but he's right about Steph's relationship with Berman. Berman doesn't give a **** about Steph. He wanted access and Steph wanted a mouthpiece. Everyone asks what will happen when Steph leaves the Knicks...Berman will go right back to bashing him just as he did for 2 years before Steph gave him access. Go back to the Lenny/early Larry days...Berman was one of Steph's BIGGEST bashers. That's why it's so transparent and phony. Steph is no better...he got mad at Isola because they used to be close when Frank was on the high school beat (going back almost 20 years now) and when Steph got to NY, he thought Isola should be his buddy in the papers instead of doing his job as a writer. Plus Isola, like most of us realized Steph wasn't the same Steph anymore anyway. So Steph gets on his me against the world crap and Berman went from being a sloppy fat ****, to his best buddy. They're both opportunists, using each other.

I disagree with banning his bitch ass from the site simply because by now you should be able to decipher what's bull**** and what isn't. None of them write 100% truth anyway and all have an agenda.

yep! alot of the Larry quotables about Steph were what Berman articles were built around 3 years ago.

between Berman and Mitch Lawrence, I don't know who blasted Steph more.

the Bergen Record has probably been the best at just the facts

IMO Steph's biggest individual problem was not the things he said in the papers but that he played point with tunnel vision. What compounded it was Isiah backing him (as long as he had the top 3 selling jersey) at every turn.

Lenny figured out if you play Steph off the ball with a distributor (Frank Williams), you get much better guard play outta Steph.

Then Isiah not only trades Frank, but he trades him for Jamal and tasks Lenny with making those 2 work.

FFWD...Walsh brought in Duhon and MDA has given him the reigns and moved Steph to the 2. Problem once again solved.
