I had a crazy night last night and I feel like **** aka I do not want to go to work. I want to call out before my shift starts at 2:30. I was thinking about going with the diarrhea excuse but idk yet. Does anybody have a good excuse I can use?

Stomach virus cant really be checked by a doctor, so if they ask for a note the doctor will have to go by what you say. Besides if you are smashed, don't you feel a little qweezy in the stomach? Stomach virus could mean diarrea and/or vomitting.

Depends on if you do this on a regular basis. If so, then your screwed. Sorry. But also depends on were you work also.

My excuse would be 'got run over by a truck, should be in tomorrow'.
I'll never trust this' team again.

This is my favorite: I like to call out for "dental work." Usually, I go for a cleaning or whatever. But I am always getting "dental work." Everyone knows about this... but I inform in the flow of conversation like, say, lunch. "Supreme Commander, are you okay?" "No, this sandwhich is hurting my teeth" "What?" "Well, I had *dental work* done when I went to the dentist." You talk more and weave in how they gave you a prescription, but you absolutely hate, hate, HATE taking medication. So, a week later, when you want another day off, you call out and say, "I could *drive* in if you need me, but my teeth hurt because of my *dental work* and I just took some *prescription painkillers* but if you absolutely need me, I have no problem *driving* into work." They're scared of lawsuts or something.

how did you know it was food poisoning? do you have a police report? food poisoning just sounds like an excuse.

Stomach virus! that says you dont know what it is and you could branch it off to a fever or whatever if you need more than a day.

Why you didn't listem to the master of calling out sick is beyond me.

Hate to say it Cookd, but Knicksfan is right. I never called in sick for being hungover. I always felt like if it was something b/c of what you did to yourself, then you have to go through it.

Funny thing. Somebody wanted me to go into work for them last night, b/c her daughter had an eye infection, which I had no problem with, and she was gonna get off anyway, but she asked me for coverage regardless. However, she was asking for coverage for this girl who was hungover and asked to go home. I said "NEGATIVE!!"
