The Lakers are expected to shift Kobe Bryant to small forward on Tuesday night in their first game of the preseason.

Bryant shifts to small forward, with Derek Fisher sliding over to shooting guard and Lamar Odom moving from small forward to point guard.

Los Angeles big men Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum will take the court for the first time on Tuesday when the Lakers battle the Jazz.
It's funny how this whole world is based on one dummy controlling another, and the leader dummy was chosen by a whole bunch of dummies.

Its all good. The old bulls used a lot of different schemes. Pippen ran the point and So did Jordan at one point........historically Phil Jackson has never had a true point guard so this is pretty much not even a story worth talking about.

So he moves from SG to SF? What's the big deal again? He's 6'7" and the positions have similar responsibilities and style of play n offense: Slash and Shoot. It isn't really going to change how Bryant plays because he is Kobe Bryant. he previously over-powered smaller SGs, now he will out-maneuver SFs if the other team decides to guard him with the same position player. Defensively it won't change much either.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

I don't see any problem with Kobe at SF. That's probably the very least of their concerns. I do see a problem with the idea that Lamar Odom can run an offense for a championship team.

Honestly- the lakers should try to trade Odom- he is one of the softest players ever.

All they're doing is switching ears with their earrings.

They play those roles anyway in the triangle offense.

This guy is Tim Thomas all the way. He can be an all star one night, and the very next night and 8th man.
