I think Vranes comes off the bench later-9th or 10th, given a 2-3 year time frame.
C: Lampe, Doleac, Thomas (if Knick) PF: McDyess, Sweetney, Thomas (If Knick) SF: Van Horn, Nailon SG: Houston, Andersen PG: Eisley, Williams
Bench: Postell, Harrington, Vranes
Seems more likely. Why? Noone is exactly beating down the door for our contracts. We've got tradable entities in Ward, Thomas, and possibly Houston. Everyone else is KFL (Knick for Life).
So, you need to make the best of it. KVH plays, no matter what, so we should resign Nailon, give us insurance at SF.
If Thomas is still a Knick, then he starts at the 4 if McDyess is still out.
Andersen just singed a multi-year deal last year, so he's a KFL. He stepped up his game last year, so it's not a total loss. If Houston is still around that's a good rotation. If not, we need a 2, since a Postell/Andersen rotation strikes me as a bit thin.
Juvanic might never play, and face it, Eisley is no j-kidd, but he's better than Ward. Williams will take some time to come along, but a Elisey/Williams rotation seems "on par" with the rest of the east.
Unless we get a trade at center, this is the big hole in the roster. I expect that Thomas will continue to be pushed into the 5, unless he is traded, with Doleac and Lampe rotating in. Vranes might come off the bench, year 2, but forget this year. He's not strong enough yet. Lampe is closer to getting he green-light.
Looks like there is still soem work to do.
