IF Rasheed is on the trading block, I think most people want this guy on our team. What would you give up to get this guy?

-First time posting... I've been lurking for a while and have been very impressed....

There's no one Portland wants from our team so don't even think about it.. The new GM. for Portland John Nash was given specific orders from upper Mgmt to 1) improve the team's image 2)continue the consecutive playoffs streak and 3) diminished the payroll. IF Nash is gonna give up Rasheed, he wants at least equal value in return. There's no one on the knicks that amounts to that...

You're most probably right. But how nice would it be to send Houston over for Rasheed. Not that I think it's a good idea, but would a 1st round draft pick sweeten the deal enough for them? Houston would be great for their image, and we'd probably take back other bad contracts in return

If the deal was right, they'd do it. They can throw in a swingman to even it out, and we can throw in another player too. I don't see trading Allan's obscene contract for Sheed's expiring one as anything but a smart thing. It'd take too much of the brain power that LayDown does not have for him to do this trade, though.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Aha - All roads lead to 'Sheed, n'est-ce pas?

It would be a ballsy move indeed.

H2O for Sheed is not happening. I think Sheed techs obscure just how could this guy is. Ther's no PF I'd rather have than him. Not Webber, not Duncan, no one. He's a free agent after this season. Boy, it sure would be nice to be under the cap next season when he's a free agent.

How is it that Popper can figure out how to get NY under the cap and Layden can't? This is a no-brainer trade! H20 for Wallace and add some throw ins like Spoon or Anderson for Patterson!

yeah NY would have no backcourt but so what!!! They would have KT/Wallace and Lampe up front!! All they would need is a good shooting guard! Oh year they traded him for Van Horn!!

Why would Portland, or any team for that matter want a role player like H2O for max player money? They don't. In order for trades to happen both teams have to actually want the other teams player. This is a no brainer trade. Portland would have to have no brains in order to do it!

Yeah...Popper for GM. He can write about it, but there is no way Portland is falling for that one.

Dream.....the impossible dream, postas are chomping at the bit making up insane trade proposals. In reality they're fiending for some sneaker squeeking , sweat dropping , high profile players to hit the court.

Sheed is the man, and its funny some people call H20 a role player because if he was on a team with a Duncan, Shaq, Sheed, or Webber he would be lighting other teams up with his stroke. There is nobody on the Knicks to take the pressure off him, he needs a complementary big man to be a true star but he has talent so dont diss on him. What would Kobe be without Shaq? Granted he is an amazing player, but the big man helps him in many ways. Houston will never be a superstar but he is a great shooter.

Sheed for Houston is a no-no. If we trade McDyess and add KT to sweeten the deal then YES! We would be structurally flawed once more if this happened (Houston for Sheed).

I think 'sheed would be a good fit. They don't really want our contracts though, so its a no go.

The rumor involved Kenyon Martin and Sheed and the question raised is if WE should get him? Knicksbb10 is right, we're lucky to trade for a used bag of balls with what we have to offer... please, stop the insanity.

Well, TKF, 'Sheed is a problem child-he's got an attitude, and has a tendency to let off-court stuff effect his on-court play. Portlands new GM is instituting a code of conduct that probably won't sit too well with the PF, so Portland has been looking for a little trade or too. Actually, they could use some backcourt help, so a trade featuring "team player and all aroung good guy" Houston wouldn't be a bad fit.

Just morbid curiosity, but I wonder if there would be an uproar when that trade went down...the same way there was with Van Horn...if people would say that it's trading away the best shooter in the league for the next Dennis Rodman, etc...Not MY opinion, just wondering.

And I'd also imagine that We'd have to part with a real bargain to make a trade like that work...KT or rights to Milos or something else would have to be packaged with H2O, so they'd feel better about his contract...Allan's a boyscout, but he's also the richest boyscout jumpshooter in the league.

Really problem child. Then why do you want him? Because he's aproblem child with an unstopable game. And as long as that remains the case we can't get him with the junk NY has.
Should we get Rasheed if he's on the block?
