We've already heard from Mark Cuban about The Star Spangled Josh Howard video, and now we have the pleasure to hear from one of the NBA's most endearing players, Ron Artest. The Sac Bee emailed Ron about the controversy; here's his Tru response: "I think Josh Howard's comment is a reflection on education. I think the schools need to teach deeper in the history classes and make the students aware of racism but also teach them that all people are not bad. I can relate to not feeling wanted by my own country at times but as I dug deeper I realized that America is divided and we need leaders to bring America closer together. An example where I felt unwanted by my country was when I didn't get a chance to tryout for my national team. I believed it was because my history. I hope he overcomes this. Family 1st."

The scary part is he's 100% right. He must have had a PR man do that for him, though.

Lol.....an attempt to sound like he has some sense.

Everytime I wake up I feel I'm not apart of the united states too. But yo.....this is probably still the best country in the world. I don't trust the goverment and its judicial system and what not....but there are still some incredible people in this country. I have issues that I'm sure we all are dealing with but again....its all about the good people. Black, white, indian, asian, hispanic......cha-ching. We here. We americans and these my people. "Oh say can you see?" The song itself is like the first gang related piece of music ever written. Its pretty gangsta if you think about it. The flag reps the country and this country has a lot of terrible history with slavery and all things associated. Still......we americans. We can get mad and debate all day. We can go purchase books and search all day for a way to find self enlightenment......we can make millions off of athletic ability.....we can do so much.......people risk everything to be down with that.

Anyway its a rough debate, but at least we can have it without being publicly excecuted in 2008 because of it. Btw, I wish "God Bless america" was our national anthem.....like I said the other one is too gangsta.
