looks like the mets are on the verge of another collapse again. they can't beat the lowly frigging braves and nats with the cubs coming to town next week. well, it was fun while it lasted. minaya will surely get fired if it happens. i feel different this year, almost indifferent. if it happens it happens.

Being a Knicks, Dolphins, and a Mets fan has been miserable for me these past few years

Even if they drop the division, I don't see the Brewers or Astros passing them.

blowing a 3 game lead (which they haven't blown yet) is not a collapse...

well, it happened. again against awful teams and the last few games you can't blame the bullpen. you can blame these overrated idiots who constantly strike out against sub par pitchers. oh well, foot ball season started. mets were fine to watch during the summer though.

milwaukee is free falling. mets can still get into the playoffs. it doesn't matter how you get there, just get there and anything can happen.

brewers are only a game and a half back with a far easier path than the mets this week. hope you won't eat your words.

again, they can't beat the frigging marlins at home?????? dejavu, frigging dejavu. they lost the lead of the division and wild card. serves them right. they don't deserve it. they are a bunch of overpayed underachieving fantasy bums. they put up stats but not wins when they count. i am tired of this crap! i don't mind if they trade reyes or wright or both and start from scratch. i said last year i am tired of reyes running around like a minstrel show and i will say that again. that's how i am living right now. garbage!!!! well, at least the brewers will be in it turning it up when it counted. the cubs deserve to go to the world series also. we don't deserve @#$%!!!! this is a bunch of losers. point blank. look, i rank the knicks higher than this bunch because at least we know where they stand while we get constant teases with the mets. not championship teases either. playoff teases which is worse. if you have a team that is built for a championship and for two years in a row, collapse and don't make it to the playoff, where does that leave you? who is to blame?! frigging frustrated. they should not even waste our time and start santana tomorrow. pathetic! well, there is my rant. i will go off more sunday night, believe me, when it is official. well, its football season. GO GIANTS!!!!

If you are still following the team and reading sites like this, there is nothing, short of your own demise, that is going to throw you off this train.

Losing two years in a row on the last day is really bad. The core of this team is really shot and only a post season appearence can rectify them, but they might have to break up this group to get new blood that believes in themselves.

Losing your no.1 starter is no easy thing to overcome. I'll give them credit for having a very good second half and overcoming as they did. YaNKS also, they finished very respectable in baseballs best division.

I'm not to worked up over the Mets collapse. I think us fans called it a long time ago that they would collapse. No big deal. I think the Mets are a team that is scared of winning and felt that for a long time. As soon as i saw the commercial with Beltan and Delgado for Peurto Rico. I knew they were planning their trip back to their homeland. Besides how long were they going to go without a bullpen? I didn't much problem with the bullpen as I did with their offense. You just know when a big game was to be played that the offense wouldn't show up.

If I have to recollect a game Cubs that cost the Mets the season, it has to be Cubs game man on third no outs tied game in 9th and they don't score the runner.

Wow, Mets choked 2 years in a row on the last day of the season. Gotta feel bad for Mets fans, not a good way to close out Shea. At least the Yankees were able to say goodbye to the Stadium & thanks to the fans. Y'all need to fire Omar Minaya, he's a crappy GM.

I think it is good that the Mets didn't make the playoffs because they would've embarrassed themselves in the playoffs with a crappy bullpen
