I am bored with the Knicks inactivity so here is another chapter of my take on how we can fix the Knicks in it's current state....

1. NYK trades Othella Harrington, Howard Eisley, Shandon Anderson and Kurt Thomas to the TrailBlazers for Damon Stoudemire and Dale Davis. Giving up Kurt for Weed Boy and an aging Pacer may seem a bit much at first glance but if you take into account that we are ridding ourselves with 2 huge contracts might be enough of a gamble. Plus, Damon and Dale only have 2 years left on their contracts and both can start for us right now. Why would Portland do it? They get some upstanding citizens with this lot and they get rid of Weed Boy.

2. NYK Trades Charlie Ward and Travis Knight to Atlanta for Theo Ratliff. I know that this sounds like a pipe dream but this is the same Atlanta management that trades Big Dog for an ending contract and a 20+ pick 1st rounder. In Ward and Knight they get 2 big expiring contracts. We might have to sweeten the pot with a 2nd rounder.

3. Sign Nesby from the summer league.

4. Sign Raja Bell or Walt Williams from the free agency pool.

NYK Lineup

C-Theo Ratliff
PF-Dale Davis
SF-KVH
SG-Houston
PG-Damon Stoudemire

Bench - Lampe, Sweetney, F Williams, Weatherspoon, Doleac, Vranes, Nesby, Walt Williams/Raja Bell

Ratliff and Davis would take care of the defensive side. Williams would get an opportunity to play. Lampe and Sweetney can be the 1st ones off the bench.

Yup. I can live with that.

Atlanta has already said that they can't trade Theo now that the've traded Big Dog. They new a equal big amn value back in any trade. Knight is not even close. Plus Charlie contract is not a appealing as it seems. It's a 2 mill buyout plus a $900,000 trade kicker. That's 2.9 mill for half a season (because once they buy him out he's not longer on the team, and the buyout kicks in in Jan).
