So, which one of guys has one? I just got into this a few weeks ago and it's better than I thought. Much better than MySpace. Post your names here so I can add you. Or you can add me. My name is George Kefalogiannis.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

I never signed up for facebook. I devoted so much energy to myspace, I don't have the desire to really do that all over with Facebook.

What makes it better?

The people you get to meet. It's easier to find people and to meet more mature people on there. Plus you can find people from the same college if you go to one.

I also like the applications that they have on there.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Myspace is cool, but there's too much crap on certain pages that slows the crap out of my computer. Plus it's boring now.

I just signed up for facebook recently (On the UK group) but don't know caca about it. Don't plan on using it too much.

I barely use it. I don't really keep up my home page. I use it to track down old friends and then I call them on the telephone like they used to do back in the 50's

facebook came out my senior year of college... so it was another way for senioritis to be utilized. Now, I'm more or less ingrained in it, and use it out of habit. It's a time dump... but a really interesting time dump because I've been able to see what's new with people that I may have otherwise not kept in touch with.

Well people say its the applications that are cool. Myspace is for the kids and Facebook is more grown up. Like a blackberry is to a sidekick?

I dunno. I guess I will look at it when I get a chance, just to join the ultimateknicks group if anything.

unless you are some sort of celebrity or aspiring model/actor looking to network, I don't see why a grown adult(especially a man) would want to have a myspace site.... I don't bother with that crap.. I don't know much about facebook, but aren't they all one in the same?

myspace was good for picking up sluts for awhile. But one got mad and sent mail to all the others and didnt say nice things. Plus you have that 'status' crap about how many dates before you go from single to in a relationship. Also people arent who they say they are, and the pages tend to have so much crap on them that they take forever to load.

I have enjoyed myspace because you can look up classmates and its been pretty cool talking to people I went to high school with. Also I have a huge family and have a bunch of cousins on there. We post pics of the kids, events, etc.. its cool for that.

Well yeah.....all my top friends on myspace are family. Its just a way to stay in touch without having to speak to those annoying mofo's.

I get to see my baby nephew, and my God son on there since they live outta state. That's why I really use it now.

Like Fishy said, maybe 2 years ago, it was all about getting some smut buckets. Now its just a way to keep in contact with friends.

Let family know who's having a party, etc.....nothing more.

Hey did anyone start a uk page on myspace?

I can see it being good for that fish.. family, friends, but my wife is an aspiring actress and she has a myspace site(against my wishes)just for networking( and she states that on there) and she gets a lot of people trying to get her to listen to their music and crap like that. she also gets a bunch of douchebags asking her out for dates even though her profile reads, married with children.. I just think that myspace crap is a convenient tool for a bunch of low life losers... Now as you said, there is some usefullness to it, but overall, It is a waste of time. IMO..

If you want to track down some old college/high school/work buddies facebook is a great thing. I never touch my profile, but I find it useful.

What sucks about life is that when I was single they didn't have myspace. I had to go to bars to pick up "smut buckets". And let me tell you, that worked out great. How many times did I have the following conversation:

Me: So baby what's your name?

Her: "oh my god you are so adorable. You are the cutest person I've ever seen. Your smile is perfect and your face is beautiful. Anyway, can you introduce me to your friend, I want to bang him".

Me: Before I introduce you to my friend, did I tell you that I'm on the basketball team?

Her: "wow that's so hot. Can you introduce me to one of the guys on the basketball team. I want to bang all of them. This is so great, you and I are going to be such good friends. Every week you can ask me out, and I can say no and then bang one of your friends. This is the beginning of a beautiful friendship, my little cuddly bear"

Me: "yes it is going to be a great friendship. Let's continue our friendship tomorrow, right now I'm going to go home and pleasure myself"

Her: "you are so adorable"

Man, if I had that conversation once I had it 1000 times. 5 years later in life and I would have had Myspace. Damn this life!!!!!!

I created my Facebook after page after coming back from my trip last year to share and exchange pictures with my friends. Now I'm getting in touch with people from elementary, junior high, and high school. Plus I talk with my family from all over the country. Also I think Facebook is less of a pickup joint like Myspace because no one can view your page unless you've accepted their friend request.

Everyone accepts friend requests though. At least all the chicks I added.
