22 years old. Huge potential. Low cost. Why not?

The 22-year old Livingston has spent the bulk of this summer working out there, primarily because the Clippers declined to extend a qualifying offer to him for the 2008-2009 season, then subsequently renounced their rights to him. Livingston is an unrestricted free agent.

This is from a Laker's blog:

I think the Knicks could use a little help at PG since it appears that we don't have a long term solution there right now.

Isn't his knee pretty much held together with some string and silly putty? I think his career's done, which is a shame b/c I loved his game.

he's strong enough to play full court pickup games.

obviously the risk is his knee could fall apart but I'd be willing to give him someone (Jerome James!) else's spot (Jerome James) on the roster if he was willing to sign a reasonable short term contract.

look at former knick, antonio mcdyess. not the high flying explosive scorer we thought we were getting but still useful.

At this stage he has no leverage, except saying he's still young. If he would sign for a minimum deal I'd do it....or even the low level exemption if we still have that......

He should go to europe. They'll probably pay him closer to what he wants.

I would send someone for a look see to see if his full recovered. I heard he has a very detailed regiment before and after he plays. I think his problem will be lateral movement.

I would say if he is just taking jump shots it might be ok but if he drives the lane that leg is going to give again. once it happens once it is more likely to happen again.

His fall was so yucky. How can anyone really know if he is alright?

The Knicks have nothing to lose in taking a look. Its just how do you talk money with him? The kids knee crumbled like a cracker and was left looking like he was hit in his Knee buy a car.

Oooooooooo......yucky yucky yucky!

The guy can barely make it out his house without getting injured. There is no way the Knicks should pick him up. If the Knicks got him today he would fall down some steps and break his legs tomorrow.

Maybe the Knicks have looked at him and we just don't know about it.
I just hope that people will like me

I think the Knicks should sign Marv instead so he can demonstrate how to drink a foo-foo drink with a girly straw

I have known Shaun since 15 and he has never made it through a full season without some injury. Great kid but he just doesnt have the body to be a NBA basketball player

Not a ny community type pickup
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.
