Ben Gordon + Jaokim Noah for Zach Randolph...?

Why...?

Zach will be on the books in 10' anyway...and to this point doesn't seem to fit into the longterm plan...

Zach gives the Chicago Bulls a low post scoring threat they have been missing...

Ben Gordon will be the third guard but will play heavy minutes in the crunch and provide a scoring option in the D'Antoni run and gun style offense...

Jaokim a glue guy who plays hard on defense is the perfect compliment to Eddy Curry...

18.4ppg 43 FG 90 FT 40 3P

best statistical year:

21.4ppg 45 FG 86 FT 41 3P

Never been hurt...extremely athletic...NY bred...Young...oh yeah all of these stats were accomplished while coming off of the bench...with a sub par offensive minded coach...still lots of untapped potential...he is owed his money...

I don't see a match at this point in terms of the 2010 edict, but in terms of Ben as a player, he's tailor made for this system. I mean how can anyone argue against that? He's a pure shooter and only needs a sliver of daylight to get off. Despite his height he's a guy that we can depend on to execute this offense. I just wish we had a clear way to add him without messing up our cap situation for 2010.

larrythaleo great to see you on the board it feels like 2002 again.

there's also basically no feasible way to get gordon, i do like him as a player, have since i saw him win a big east chip under the bright lights at the garden. money earning mount vernon baby, benG's gotta get that money

Ben Gordon is a slightly better Jamal Crawford.

Why would we want that? Heck, even if we could swap straight up - dollar for dollar year for year - Crawford for Gordon I don't know if I'd do that or still explore ways to just move Jamal along.

Gordon is also a BYC player so an S&T is tough given he's only worth HALF his dollar value in any trade. Why the NBA did that...nobody knows but it's good for us and it's also good for us that Isiah isn't in charge anymore because our opening back court next season would CERTAINLY be Crawford/Gordon. Can anyone say 4-26 shooting from the field? Yeah, I can.
