Lowry = Chris Childs (tough, strong, defensive minded PG)
Crittenden = better prospect, 4 inches bigger, excellent offensive PG prospect

Crittenton reminds me of a young Larry Hughes

Javaris may be the better player long term but I've always liked the energy and toughness Lowry plays with.

Lowry's problems center around his lack of any intermediate or long range game and the fact he's not a true distributor. He gets all of his offense on pretty wreckless attacks on the rim and his passes are usually around the basket drop offs after attacking the basket.

I've heard Lowry isn't a fit for Mike D's system since he can't stick the outside shot.

Love Lowry's make-up just not so sure he's the better player. If we could nab Darko and one of these kids; plus fodder for Zach then I'd be a happy camper.

Actually I'd probably prefer to move Eddy for Darko and one of the points and let Darko play center with Zach at 4 spot.

I don't trust fat Eddy - whether he's in shape or not.

I think a Duhon, Crittenton is a good one. Duhon, Lowry may be too much of one thing, not enough of another.

Every time I've seen Crittenton play (and I haven't really seen him that much to be honest) he looks very smooth to me esp. going to the basket. Looks capable of making some nice passes too. But how's his jumper? Is he a legit three-point threat? Mid-range game? Anyone seen him enough to gauge how good a shooter he is/could be?

i've seen him play in about 12 games last season (albeit in short stretches & during garbage time for the most part)... from what i can tell from a perfunctory glance, he's not all that explosive, but he does have a decent handle & is VERY big for a PG... he moves around on the court smoothly as has been stated earlier & doesn't try to force up shots too much, though i have seen him play out of his game at times & make some bad decisions w/the ball when passing, as most young players do when they don't get a chance to play on a regular basis & try overly hard to impress... looks to me like he could be a good defender if he wants to be, as he's got the size to body up against any of the big G's in the NBA... he's a pretty good penetrator into the lane & isn't afraid to draw contact in the paint... i think he's raw but w/the right coaching he can turn into a good PG.

personally i think he's gonna be a very solid player... dunno if he's got star potential but definitely will be better than someone like Duhon... Larry Hughes might be a good comparison as purple mentioned but i think Hughes was more explosive before he was slowed by injuries over the past few years than Javaris.

I love Kyle Lowry, he's someone I've been after since I was watching him at Villanova.

Lowry is quick as anyone in this league, he can get to the hoop fearlessly, he's taking great steps with his jumper, he's a ballhawk out on the perimeter and he's a solid general out on the court.
