The Knicks havent had a good shotblocker since Marcus Camby. I'd hate to lose Nate but 7 foot athletic shotblockers are not easy to find. I wonder how substantial this rumor is?

Nate for Sean Will? where did u hear this? i wouldn't mind a trade like this even tho i think Nate could play well in D'Antoni's system... we need a shotblocker in the worst way imaginable & have a ton of G's to fill Nate's minutes.

Sean Williams is flat out dumb, even before we get to bball IQ. He's a high character risk (drugs).

I know Nate is a clown, but I don't want to trade him for a bad seed.

This organization cannot afford to disregard these things anymore (too many Marbury's, Zach's, Curry's etc. who don't care enough about being a professional).

I said it in the last tread and I'll say it in this one. I would not trade Nate for Williams. One of the reasons is; if Walsh is trading Lee he can't trade Nate as well. These two plus Chandler are one of the only reasons to watch the Knicks. Plus can you get better then a 5-7 shooting guard with the heart of a lion.

Sean's a knucklehead but Nate's not exactly joining Mensa anytime soon either.

I think Nate could possibly emerge as our starter at point guard. He's still a super sub. Sean Williams has that potential as well but I dunno if we should give up on Nate like this.

Sean Williams and Marcus williams was shipped out for a reason, better find out why before you take the bait.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

What the freak has Sean Williams ever done to make him a good trade for Nate, who has shown WAY more than Sean in every way. Nate will be a stud in mike's system. The guy can shoot, drive and has shown an improving ability to pass. No way do I give up Nate for that guy. Someone else but not Nate.

Look we all would like an agile shotblocker, but come on... Sean for Nate?

1.5 bpg in only 17.5 minutes ain't too shabby... at the very least he could very ably fill Balkman's role off the bench & can make guys think twice before they penetrate into the lane... we haven't had a presence like that on this squad in years & we sorely need one.

Shawne Williams plays for the Pacers and is listed at 6-9.

Sean Williams plays for the Nets and is listed at 6-10.

I think fordy is talking about Sean Williams.

The height is not matching by CBA...
They need to add another 1+ fit midget to match it up.

I agree we need a shot-blocker and can't go another season w/o this element. Whether it turns out to be Darko, Sean Williams, whoever - get somebody in here who can protect the basket. Doesn't even have to be a starter or a main cog. Even if we were to pick up a John Salley-type for spot duty. Even D'Antoni, well known for his offensive coaching, HAS HAD shot-blockers recently in Pheonix - Amare, Steven Hunter.....

If there's nothing to this Nate for Williams rumor and nothing ever come of this Zach to Memphis for Darko, I say go pick up free agent Justin Williams. More or less will give you the same thing Sean Williams will give you and we can get him w/o losing a player. 6'9"-6'10" jumping jack was a very good rebounder and shot-blocker in college. Would also soften the blow if we ever dealt away David Lee. I think with 20 mins. a night backing up the 4 & 5 spots, this kid could be a very effective interior defender for us. We could go out and get this kid for nothing right now. I think the low-level or even part of it would get it done.

I'd love to get Sean Williams, he's dumb as nails, but he's a solid shotblocker and I think he'd put up some good numbers in MikeD's free flowing offense.

I wonder if this deal is contingent on something else happening? I mean how many big men can we have? Lee/Gallo/SeanW/Zach/Curry. Who knows?

I'd do this though for sure.

Doubt that they would make this deal unless someone in the Knicks' brass knows something about Williams' character that we don't. I would trade Nate or Lee for a shot blocking big man with some kind of offensive game, but they will not take a chance on a guy with the personal flaws of Williams.

I don't see Nate going anywhere right now by himself. He is tailor made for D'Antoni system. Right now ZBo is the one piece that I see being traded and Nate might be used as a sweetener for a deal to go through. If ZBo is not traded then no trades will be made until the trading deadline.
