Why are the jets so aggressive with players that are dramatically passed their prime? ...Boomer, Art Monk, Brian Cox, ext...but so timid when it comes to the draft --- passed on Jerry Rice, Marino, Emmitt Smith.
This is your worst organization in sports, outside of a couple of Parcell led teams, this team has been misery since Joe Willy. Defines inept.
This guy is going to be 39 in December. SMH. Mays in Shea

QB is different in terms of age in NFL. Brett Farve was second best player in the league last year and hasnt missed one game in 14 years.
39 is 39, bro.
Farve has been on a downward spiral for the past few years until his perfect storm of luck in '07. Lightening isnt striking twice and his age is bound to catch up to him and what better place for that then in than in NY?
Pathetic PR move by the Jets.

No way. Favre still has a rifle. The guy who has been on the way down is Pennigton. He cant throw the ball 25 yards down the field. Clemens is a pure back up. What an upgrade. My bet is the owner came in on this one as well with the new stadium but it was the right move for the franchise. We have to try to win now.
I feel you on Nerf ball arm Chad, but Farve is the answer? I think you guys are getting way more excited for this than warranted.
I thought the jets made some bad moves in the off season spending all the money they did.
The fact is, they did not have a QB. My 2 year old daughter has a better arm than Chad. The QB is supposed to be able to throw the ball. He got by on being very smart & a solid decision maker, but face it, the defense against the jets has been stacked in the first 10 yards because Chad can't beat them long.
Kellens might not be in the league in a year. So he isn't the answer either.
Favre isn't a long term solution, but the jets don't have one.
And their short term solutions (Chad vs. Kellens) isn't that great either.
If Favre can be patient, then he can probably reproduce the year he had last year.
This opens up the running game and changes the way opponents are going to have to defend against the jets.
