They pretty much revamped their team and was trying to get brand to sign with them.

Donnie had Al Harrington on 2 separate occations....he also picked up Stephen Jackson......

Since they were looking to sign Brand would they be interested in Zach? They just signed maggette who is a small fwd. They got monta and that african mofo....biedris, and that french dude from the lakers.

Zach for Harrington, Jax.....of course some fillers have to be put in but with this base.....would you guys do this?

Keep in mind that both Al and jax are signed for 2 seasons so they would be stop gaps. Chandler would come off the bench for Jax who is a damn good player. Al harrington would also start for now and give Gallo time to grow into his potential.

I like this idea a lot......maybe just maybe this is what NY Newsday was hinting at.

Harrington/ Lee/ Gallo
Stephen Jax/ chandler
Curry
Duhon/Nate
Craw/???Benelli(sp?)???

D'antoni can seriously win with that group.

we ain't getting GS to take back all that salary in the deal w/o more incentive.

More incentive? Like what? Harrington has been in their doghouse off and on, collecting dnp's and benchings. Jax lost his boy Baron and most of the crew he beat Dallas with. He has no allies. With Maggs presence it seems like they might be trying to replace him.

So they probably could get more for al and jax, but so could denver for Camby. Maybe Golden st just wants to revamp the team. They would look "formidable" with this crew:

Maggs
Biedris
Monta

Briggs with all his talk of trading Lee had me thinking of sending Lee to G State - I bet Donnie would absolutely love Lee in his system, which oddly isn't that different from D'Antoni's.

Don't know if we can move Zach or Curry with Lee to GS- but perhaps we could trade JJ2, Q Brick & Lee in return for some of the above & a first rounder?


I just don't see Walsh making any real moves before the season starts. Maybe Marbury gets bought out.

Zach to Gstate makes sense for the knicks, I'm not too sure the warrioirs want to take that risk after all the money they gave to 3 role players. If they take on big money they probably want to be sure that guy is going to be the leader of the team.

This trade is absurd. Zach is a terrible player and a loser in the nba why on earth would they give up steven jackson the heart and soul of their team and one of the only defensive players, and throw in harrington.

However Mullin did just give 50 million to maggette for whatever reason no one knows, but we need to stop making the comparison with players that play both sides of the ball, brand was averaging almost 2.5blks a game and is a team guy granted he isn't taking teams to the playoffs, but neither would you if you played for the clip show.

We blew our chance to move this guy to the clippers, we could have sweetened the deal with a pick and be done with the guy, not going to happenn.
