another deal has to be on the way...unless cash is sold on veras/marte/edwar/roberston and possibly a returning bruney to be the 7th/8th guys.

Yanks Bullpen is fine as it is. Marte should be fine. Veras looks like he's ready for the 8th. Edwar has been lights out. Robertson was lights out till his last outing. Bruney is back soon. Melancon just got promoted. Hughes/Kennedy might take a Joba like role later in the year. I think they are in great shape w/ regards to the pen.

And besides, Farns couldn't be trusted in a high leverage situation anyway.

Pudge hitting pretty decently this year and is a huge upgrade over Moehler/Molina. He's also a FA that will get us some compensation picks when we let him walk.

As good as Pudge is, the difference defensively between him and Molina is probably nil at this point. But the hitting is light years different. Pudge can handle the bat, hit close to .300 and keep the line moving. Absolutely huge upgrade.

Thank God. Couldn't take much more of Farnsy.

awesome trade... we get a fulltime C who's proven even tho he's on the downside of his career, & we easily have the arms to replace Farns in the setup role w/a young stud prospect waiting in the wings to come up at some point in Melancon...

good job Cash.

Holy crap, this is a great trade. I've never liked Farnsworth and although he was pitching well so far this year, he has been blasted in big spots time and time again.

Pudge is as good as Molina defensively, but the difference with the bat is huge. Molina doesn't like catching everyday either, so Pudge will be able to play 4-5 games a week. Should be a GREAT tandem.

A+ trade by Cashman.

looks like this is all coming together quite nicely... just gotta get ourselves another arm for the rotation & we're set for the stretch run.

Cashman is a bad mofo. He gets everything done. I can't believe it.....Posada just announced he's having the surgery........Cashman doesn't play any games.

Seriously how many names has he picked up over the years? Badass Mofo.

One thing I love about this trade? Aside from the bat, and defense? Pudge calls a great game and he brings fire intensity and leadership!

WooooooHooooooo!!!

Cash once again using his Jedi mind control technique to improve the Yanks while saving the farm.

Did we even gush here about that Nady trade?

Where should these guys be batting?

Where were they batting when with their former clubs?

molina was doing a good job defensively, but at the bottom of the lineup, he was an instant out, and with RISP and no outs, he was an instant K.... Pudge gives us that extra bump at the bottom of the order....

Where is Nady batting since yanks got him? Role? I haven't had a chance to catch a game in a few weeks.

We have four VERY good relievers in Veras, Marte, Edwar, and Rivera. How many do we really need? Most teams are lucky to have two very good relievers.
