Paul Miller should be considered for a seviceable big man off the bench - for the little intangibles;existing Knick "big men" were incapable of doing last season. You know... screens, picks, box outs, etc.
Unfortunately, during the previous regime's tenure...The Knick Team on the whole lost focus of the little things that win games...So let's hear it...& hope that starting w/ Mr. Walsh - there is truly attention paid to redundancy & dead weight (i.e. Mardy Collins,Jerome James,Malik Rose, etc.) & lets make room.
Keep up the good work Paul Miller!

I am sorry but now any bum that comes to try out after Isiah is now serviceable. I rather have Curry sitting on the bench eatting donuts than waste money on Paul Miller's so called service.

Paul Miller = Michael Doleac, I'd like him as a 15th man. I agree with original post.

I actually like the way he hustles and knows where to be on the floor, and I wish some of the Knick veterans would play the same way, but I don't think that they have any space for Miller. End of the bench player, at best. He does do a lot of the things that should be done on a winning team, but he is athletically limited. Needs to talk to Barry Bonds about some chemical enhancement.

By the way, I have always liked Malik Rose. Has limitations as a player, but he was a key bench player on a team that won 3 championships, and he is one of the guys who actually does some of the dirty work chores that will help a team win. I understand that his career is about over, but I have always though that he was the type of player any good team could use. Am I wrong about Rose?

We have room for him. If you consider that Jones, Marbury, James, Morris are essentially gone & we added Gallo, Duhon, Roberson. So that's 1 spot made available. And that's before any trades and/or cutting Mardy Collins.

That is exactly my point...I wasn't referring to the next Tim Duncan...Let's keep things in perspective...From the position (lower echelon team) of which the Knick season dreadfully ended. It's imperative to look @ all angles to get this team on track; from the 1st player to the 15th player. In the context of this post...We are not equating Paul Miller w/ the Tim Duncans or Yao Mings of the league...Baby Steps...Baby steps...

Not quite...Channing Frye shied away from setting hard picks...Case & point.

Yep, I agree.

Since we're into parting ways with Marbury and signing garbage like Duhon/Roberson to "hold down the fort until 2010" I see no reason why we shouldn't waive Malik (doing the right thing there) and buy out Jerome (face it, its over who cares about his 2010 expiring just get rid of him) and sign Miller up.

What's to lose? Absolutely nothing.

Talk about restoring professionalism to this franchise, JJ is the face of unprofessionalism as much as Marbury.
I think they should just send him to the basement to move rocks around until his contract expires.
I hate that this fat **** gets paid to do nothing.
