No. Even if he did, it wouldn't happen for 3 months now. Is it possible? I would guess so, but I'm saying no.

Not sure it will happen, but that's what I was proposing on the other thread. A couple reasons why I think it could happen:

1) Dunleavy was scouting the Knicks summer league on Monday- might be thinking about a bigger counterproposal

2) Randolph still fits a bit better than Camby- Camby and Kaman are both defesnive oriented players. Not saying you can't use two, but there is some overlap there

3) The Knicks wanted some players they could use rather than just a 2nd round pick. Camby fits like a glove in and up and down style.

Camby and Tim Thomas for Randolph and Balkman fits under the cap, works within the Knicks 2010 plan and gives the Knicks 2 players that fit under D'Antoni.

Randolph gives the clips lowpost scoring and Balkman gives them a guy that can defend on the wing to come off the bench.

If Zach REALLY was LAC's first preference then I would say a trade is still possible. I still just don't know if he was. I would say getting Camby in return would be good for this team. Why not just do a 3way yesterday though?

I think the clips have 3 days to redirect him.

But, if this were a deal, it would have been announced as a 3 way trade.

Now I guess Walsh could call over and act desperate.

I think it would've been logistically very difficult to pull of b/c I think they would've had to split the trade exemption. They also might've been putting together some revisions to the trade. All speculation on my part though.

I think evidence points towards Donnie being motivated to move Zach, but believing he could get more value for him than just a cap clearance. So in that sense something may not happen imminently, but there will be possibilities brewing all summer long and into the trade deadline. Who knows- maybe the move even happens next year.

He is and keeping Camby makes sense for them. Camby and Kaman matches well against any front curt in the league. Their defense is gonna be way better.

I hope something happens with Camby coming here, I liked him when he was here and he would be great with the new system. I just don't think it is going to happen

That's what I'm saying Des. Getting a 2nd rounder for Zach or straight cap-fodder is always going to be a possibility, up until he becomes an expiring. As I've said a million times, I've seen GM's pull off a lot of trades to acquire knuckleheads like Zach (hell look at how we got him, the Blazers even got a young player out of it.) The Pacers were able to trade Artest after he was suspended for a full season and in need of psychiatric treatment, they were also able to trade SJax after he was suspended and had run in's with the law and got a good player out of it in Dunleavy. These kinds of trades happen and we aren't winning anything for atleast 3 years so there is no hurry.

Let's be honest for a second. If the LAC can get more than 65 games out of Camby it'll be a miracle. It'll only be the 4th time in his 12 year career.

The key trade restriction date is December 15 after which Camby is available to be traded, unless the trade is a one-for-one trade, in which case there is no trade restriction. However, Camby may be freely traded (combined with other players) within the first 24 hours of the trade from Denver to LA, so he can still be trade for a few more hours.

But the Clips immediately signed Jordan, so you can only assume they are done entertaining any ideas of including him or Gordon in a trade.
You know I gonna spin wit it

I think a lot of this depends on how much the Clippers value Tim Thomas - or how much the Knicks value someone like Shaun Livingston, who has a flexible contract (ie no contract) at this point.

I don't think Camby & Kaman are a good match. While both of them have put decent enough scoring numbers previously in their careers, their main skills are not scoring - you'd think that with Baron in the back court you'd want a legit big man scorer in the post to balance things out. Maybe Thornton is enough.

I think Camby would be an awesome match to pair with either Randolph or Curry. He'd fill in the gaps/weaknesses in their current skill sets. Both Randolph & Curry are a little too evolved in their careers to expect drastic skill development, so you need to think more about finding the right complementary pieces...

Sorry for missing this before... I'm not sure he does, but he should. It just makes too much sense for both sides.
