Knicks get
Lafrentz,Mighty Mouse

Port. get
Thomas,Nash

Dal. get
Wallace,Ward

Knicks need a shot blocker n a PG who knows how to lead this team.

Portland needs a change wit all this negative going on.Starting with Wallace n Damon, they need a fresh start somewhere else.Randolph will start n they have Thomas as a back up and play the center spot.

Dallas gets there inside presence and a good backup PG.Dallas was lookin to depart wit Nash in the draft so i dont see why not using him in a trade for what they need.

Not the worst proposal I ever saw, but Portland makes out like a bandit in this one. There's not a whole lot to like about either LaFrenz (decent, but not very spirited player) or Staudamire (although he'd give us the speed at PG that Houston/KVH would need). For entertainment value & not necessarily the Win column, this is a good one because this is a serious shoot first...ask questions later lineup.

PG--Mouse
SG--Houston
SF--KVH
PF--Sweetney
C--LaFrenz

Listen pal, I know this proposal will be blasted by the Ultimate Knick faithful...but this this is fun. Good work.

A better proposal would be to trade Thomas for Nash straight up and have NY use their mid-level exception to sign D. Coleman to play center. With all due respect to the Coleman bashers out there, he's a better talent that Thomas (who is also incidentally a head case, as is Coleman) and NY gets one of the better point guards now in the league. Discussion over.

An alternative proposal would be to swap Thomas to Sac for Keon Clark, straight up. NY finally gets a shot blocker that they need.

Knicks would be gettin ova big time.I doubt DAL. would trade Nash for Thomas. Both Thomas n Wallace bring inside presence but Wallace is a better scorer.Which why i see DAL. prefering Wallace.

1. we wouldn't get a C in return
2. no way is Cuban trading Nash... and he's repeatedly denied rumors about acquiring Thomas

I think i mentioned Wallace to DAL. Wallace is a all-star caliber player.Dallas is better off with Wallace than Nash.Dallas still would have VanExcel who out played Nash in the playoffs.Nash was about to be dealt for the #4pick,but Toronto declined. So Nash could be traded.

How does Portland make out like a bandit. They get an upgrade at point but take a serious hit at PF

Talent wise, yes, Portland would take a serious hit at PF. But, they'd be exiling two of the worst character guys in the league here. Also, Randolph would really cushion the blow. Agreed?

Yeah Randolph steped up his game.He is ready for the starting role.He reminds me of a T.Brand.Randolph can average a double-double starting. He proved it when he started in the playoffs.Which they had played better also.
