Sacramento's Brad Miller Suspended

Jul 10, 2008 5:35 PM EST

The NBA announced today that Brad Miller of the Sacramento Kings has been suspended without pay for five games for violating the terms of the NBA/NBPA Anti-Drug Program.

Miller’s suspension will begin with the first game of the 2008-09 NBA regular season for which he is eligible and physically able to play.

What an idiot Miller is... I don't get these dudes. You're making tons of money and the league asks you to stay from things that shouldn't be too hard to stay away from: drugs, guns, betting. Is it really that hard? Shit I love to drink but if the Knicks came calling to me tomorrow, saying I could play for them, but the only way I could is if I never drank while I was signed to the team, you can bet your ass I'd give it up for the amount of money I was about to be paid.

It's so many guys who smoke weed IN SPORTS who never get put on BLAST.

They pick and choose who they want to bust.

Let the man smoke weed, its from the Earth. I dont smoke pot myself because I get depressed, but one of the main reasons they made it illegal was that they didnt want white kids going to black and latino neighborhoods. This is back in 1936 and actually written into the legislation. Its a dumb rule.

But actually, it doesnt say it was weed. Maybe it was something more?

When it's only 5 games - it's often weed. If it was like something like HGH or something, it would've been a lot more. You could use Chris Andersen as a meter - he basically got kicked out of league and it's been said he did meth.

Andersen was a repeat offender. Duncan's not as clean cut as the league and the talking heads want the fans to believe. He just keeps his stuff on the low and isn't into the whole "NBA lifestyle". Most players are smart enough to not get caught seeing how easy it is for vets not to. You've got to be real dumb considering the random testing isn't really "random" after your first 3 years.
