First Carlos Boozer slimed the Cavs by running to the Jazz and now Elton Brand does the same thing !!! What is coach K teaching these guys at DUKE ?? Remember Danny Ferry ? One of the dirtest players in the league when he played. Not sure about Grant Hill, anyone remember the conditions of him leaving Detroit for Orlando ??

Donald Sterling had no interest in paying Elton Brand market value, I got no problem with what Brand did.

Sterling is a known cheap-ass. But fortunately, with the money he saved paying his two best players - he can get himself some more escorts.

I dont fault Brand for trying to squeeze some chips out of Sterling, but what about B Diddy? Weren't they supposed to play together?

Whats good with all this talk of a dynamic duo? That wasnt just media hype, was it?

everything is media hype.

but listening to stefanski in the presser, he basically said falk gave him instructions and he executed them. in other words, falk said "dump a few more $$$'s and i'll get you brand."

this falk guy has a major juice card.

Brand said it was not money but intangables on the contract that the Clips balked at.

His wife is from jersey, he from westchester and was happyt to come east. PHilly is a good gig for him.

Booze was a second rounder who slimed Gund but Gund was trying to undercut his value. As a second round pick Booze would have been unrestricted the next season.

Utah paid him double, so perhaps it might be seen that Cleve was trying to pressure him to take a much smaller deal.

It works both ways.

I dont think Coach K is teaching these guys to be this way, and I think Brand's situation is different than the Boozer debacle.

As far as hating Duke - my first girlfriend went there and dumped me for a soccer player so I have my feelings about that school. Plus I am a Carolina fan ;-)

Brand did the right thing by looking out for himself.

Dum Clippers gave him an ultimatum, he refuge and went to a better team that has a better chance of winning.
