The Clippers are going to have a shallow market. I hope Donnie has been on the phone with them non-stop. Other than using Dolan's pocketbook to overspend for Duhon--they havent executed anything in terms of 2010.

Yeah but they didn't do anything to mess up 2010 either, as of now they don't need to do a thing. Yeah, trading Zach would be nice, but it ain't easy.

Not a done deal yet. He's restricted and the Lakers can still match. And they REALLY can't afford to lose him b/c he brings the hustle and the toughness they so sorely need right now.

Lee is a better player than Turriaf. If I was Lee I would NOT look for an extension now unless NY was willing to give me the money because he *could* average 16/17+10 with 40 minutes in this system. Then you might be talking about an 70MM$ contract. The reality is I doubt NY is willing to pay anyone BUT they may keep Lee to start at C.

That's a decent amount for Turiaf. Lee is quite a bit better than Turiaf...he'll probably get double.

knicks should wait on lee. wait til he's an RFA, let the market come to him. if we think we can fit him under the cap when he gets an offer, do it. otherwise they can sign and trade him. unless something great comes along before then. no need to force anything with lee this summer.

That's a fair contract for Turriaf. If anything Its says GS is really looking for a power fwd.

Agreed- I think b/c of where the Knicks are right now they should let the market dictate what he gets. The only concern is that he improve so much that he prices himself above where could've signed him. Him exceeding 8-9 mil a year in value right now doesn't seem likely.

I would to and yes it does make sense. What can Lee do that Turiaf can't do?...nothing. What can Turiaf do that Lee can't?...well shoot a consistent jumpshot from 15-18 ft away and play tenacious defense...and being the shotblocker we oh so crave. If Turiaf played Lee's minutes his stats would be similar to Josh Smiths. Turiaf is a beast!

Because:
-He plays defense, blocks shots and hustle.
-The only thing Lee can do better is to get boards, which is something Turiaf can also do pretty well.
-He is cheaper because he is not so overrated by putting good numbers in a terrible team.

It does not have to make sense to anybody, its just my opinion.

Lee is a signifcantly better scorer, rebounder, passer shooter etc. The only thing Turiaf is better at is shotblocking and hair.

Yeah. Of course. I think whats going on here is the inverse of homerism. Things become so dire and fans get so sick of losing that they convince themselves that every team and every player on said team is superior to ours.

Turiaf isnt even close to Lee. He's just a body. A complete liability on offense and totally awkward. Actual comedy when he gets the ball.

Are you kidding me??? How is Lee a better scorer than Turiaf??? When is the last time you saw David Lee make a jump shot??? Dont worry I'll wait...When is the last time David Lee got put in the game for defensive purposes??? I'll wait on that one too...As Boston showed the world defense wins chips. And if Lee is a better passer they why does Ronny average more assist. This homerism **** is gay.

Lee is a 7 or 8 million dollar player and he will averge 15 and 11 this year with the Knicks.

Lol. C'mon now chief, lets get serious. Turiaf is embarrassing to watch. I know you're not trying to pump up Turiaf's Jumper, are you? Lee has some holes in his game, Turiaf barely qualifies as an actual basketball player.

Lee practically doubles him in points and certainly doubles him in rebounds. This isnt even a debate.

Turiaf was a running joke around here. Just ridiculed.
