I went up wuth a buddy to watch uconn pick up games yesterday morning and came home and got to see parst of all the games. The two guys who stood out were Beasley and Westbrook. Brook Lopez was not a stiff at all and had a good presence at both ends. The bad part is he didnt rebound--I didnt notice watching but he didnt even grab 1--I think the ntes have to make that a point of emphasis. If he stays closer to the basket I expect him to have one game this summer where he gets 22-24 points--he took to many jump shots but was very good down low very big dude.

playa 2 remember this name Nate Miles--I saw him yesterday for the firts time. Not super athletic or anything but he played a very good PG yeterday and he is 6-7+ with a nasty jumpshot to boot. Kind of hard to guard. We spoke to Thabeet--biggest guy I have ever seen in my life up close--he looked like he was nearly a foot taller than me--real nice kid.

Texas--He's as GOOD as anyone I have seen at Uconn from year 1 including Ray Allen. People are going to know this kid's name pretty quick next year. Not that he had Ray's athletic ability but his skill level is off the charts I dont remember a skill player other than Caron Butler as a freshmen in this type of league. He was playing PG @ 6-7+ and he was IMPRESSIVE with his ballhandling passing and shooting. I dont think the plan is to play him there because they have Price Kemba Walker Austrie and Beverly BUT I have to wonder if they let the best player play the position--he's better than AJ price right now. Uconn lost Stanley Robinson most likely for the year which sxcks so that length and shooting touch might put him out on the wing. I didnt see majok--he was not there--some people who I know who know basketball and have seen him think he is a serious resemblence of Luol Deng.
