Warriors Could Shop Harrington

Jul 07, 2008 9:37 AM EST

With Baron Davis in Los Angeles, the Warriors are in need of a point guard and could place forward Al Harrington on the trading block, according to a report in The Sporting News.

Harrington has two years left on his current contract, worth roughly $20 million in total.

It has also been rumored in recent weeks that Harrington would like to be dealt, adding to the speculation.

It's perfect for us and they get a big man back. What do you guys think?
It's funny how this whole world is based on one dummy controlling another, and the leader dummy was chosen by a whole bunch of dummies.

There's probably not a player in the league that fits less in the Warrior's system than Zbo (also the same can be said about Dantoni's system).

Doesn't it say that want a PG in that article?

They are more likely to want Crawford for Harrington and I'm not really interested in that.

Unless we're talking Craw / Balk for Harrington / Bellinelli.

I would do a Crawford for Harrington & a resigned Ellis trade.

You are the only one that would sing off on that trade. Why in the world would GS do that?

I remember reading a quote from Chris Mullin saying he liked Craw. I don't have a link but I think they wouldn't mind getting him especially in this type of deal.

Al Harrington apparently didn't fit GS since they benched him in the playoffs along with his sparatic minutes. (Screwing up his fantasy value mind you!) what the hell are those guys doing over there anyway?look at their roster.....they don't even have a club......right now their whole team is Jackson and harrington.

My thing is if they want Brand then they want Zach. Brand is a hollywood producer now so he's squeeky clean off the court, but on the court he's a bully. He's always jaring and mixing it up. Arguing with refs and players while the ball is still in play. Forcing contact and turning the rock over just to get some blows in. Anyway, Zach isn't a bully so much on the court but he does do a lot of jarring. Their the same player if you ask me, especially now that Brand has a repaired achilles.

Al Harrington has 2 years left. He could come in and just bridge till the Knicks get something better. Just losing a year contract wise is a plus for us.

My concern with acquiring Al Harrington for Craw (as opposed to acquiring someone else for Craw) is Harrington would provide another roadblock in front of Chandler and Gallo, who's development should be one of our top on court priorities for the next 2 seasons.

LOL at Crawford for Harrington alone. But for Ellis as well?
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

I would think we should look to package crawford & curry or craw & zach.

I wouldn't worry about harrington blocking anyone's development as I can see D playing him as a center along with Lee and chandler.

I thought Crawford was a piece of ****......you mean to tell me he is actually too good to trade for Al harrington? No way! I thought Craw was only a role player on a good team. Just a target in a good old fashion bukkake party.

So who would the knicks target with both craw and zach? Kobe bryant? Cuz craw and zach are that big of a packedge.....ok so people don't grow a hard on for me saying that, how bout T-mac?
I'm confused about how everyone values the players here.
