"Elite" point guard is what Realgm is reporting, via some crackpot paper.

Ex. of elite pg? Andre Miller? Hinrich? Lmao!

Yeah so..........why not Starbury?!?!?!

Its stupid as hell, but the team needs a pg more than a older version of Beasley.

Send Miami Steph and Curry and take back Marion and blount or something or other.

I love cheetos. It's ironic that it looks like caca.

Marion, Blount, Haslem for Eddy Curry, David Lee, and Marbury

Awesome trade if I don't say so myself.

Miami gets Riley his post up center. Lee and Beasley can run and rebound. Marbs is the vet trying to turn around his career. Wade wants his #1 spot back. Riley is the master motivator......besides he can choose to dump Marbs anyway and straight up not resign Lee. Its a lateral move.

Miami:

Lee
Beasley
Curry
Steph
Wade

Could be good.

Knicks? More athletic and skilled. Blount got his money cuz he can score. D'antoni could probably work with that. Haslem if anything is a tradable piece that can be moved especially with his contract running just one year after this one. If Zach is traded Haslem would also be nice @ the 4. Marion is a star attraction. Best stop gap I ever seen. Still could be resigned and maybe for a short duhon deal.

Knicks:

Zach/Haslem
Marion/ Gallo/ Chandler
Blount
Duhon/Nate
Craw

Fuck the rest....

I'm a genius.

I'm not holding hope for us trading Marbury to anyone. Everyone knows we don't want him and everyone realizes we'll just buy him out. They will just wait us out and try to sign him to the MLE, LLE or min or whaetever he's willing to take.

What are you talking about moron? Blount would be the center. I'm convinced people just skim posts and entire threads and just post what the little man in the back of their head throws down the laundry shoot.

Yeah its a pipe dream.....but Miami is trying to build a chapionship team as well. They took on Walker and White Chocolate and some how won a championship. Riley has a history of taking shots at *******s and waking up the sleeping giants inside.

Financially, Miami still makes out good. They don't have to mid-level someone they don't want. They could stop gap Marbs @ the point for them. Marbs could florish in a new enviroment with some serious talent in Beasley and Wade around him. Same goes for Curry. Lee would go nuts on the broads....I mean boards. To me it looks like a great situation for Miami.

Donnie has 2010 as the mission statement for our Knicks......blount and haslem only have 2 years on their contracts. That's a plus. This trade allows the knicks to actually keep Zach and maybe parlay Haslem and craw for a player @ the deadline or something. It give the Knicks better options in my opinion. The Knicks also come out more skilled in this trade.

I liked you better when you were drunk off your ass. At least then it gave you a good excuse for talking nonsense.

I think it's a moronic idea, how do you give lee up without zachs contract...curry is a halfway decent center in the NBA, Can't say that about half the centers in the NBA, he's easier to trade...What exactly are trying to accomplish..stunt DG's growth by bringing in marion, especially in a year were going to be identifying ourselves...How many minute's will blount give you...Think

We need to stop the quick fixes. This team is 3 years away from really contending. At which point, Marion will be 32-33. I say, tell Marbury that if he is willing to take 15 million, we will buy him out now while there are some teams with cap-space for him to sign another deal (i.e. Golden State needs a new startin pg). Otherwise, we will wait until every team has already used its cap-space. Get rid of Marbury, start Duhon, and spend the year tyring to accumulate draft picks and improve the trade value of our players.

Trust the Process

Yeah I acknowledged its a pipe dream.

Who would want to trade for zach and lee in the same trade knowing both are pure power fwds.......

Think.

What's wrong with a pipe dream?
If you are still following the team and reading sites like this, there is nothing, short of your own demise, that is going to throw you off this train.

I ask you where is the quick fix?

Zach will still be on the block.....Haslem and Blount both have shorter contracts.....Marion comes off the books this season, while blount and haslem come off the next. This is all apart of the 2010 plan. No quick fix here. The roster looks to still lose some games. Its all a matter of getting smaller contracts and tacking on guys that fit the 2010 plans.

A couple points;

First, while it is a pipe dream, it doesn't seem nearly as far fetched as many other ideas being batted around. Assuming Marion comes to NY, he plays PF.

If you watch the Suns offense, D'antoni is willing to play undersized in order to get an extra step on the fast break.

So, to Knicks1248 who is not really reading posts and spouting mere conjecture, it would not be out of place (and I fully expect to see) Randolph play some time at the C position. Again, his major role will be to rebound and hit a trailing jump shot. To the extent he can beat his defender down the court, he can get the ball.

Assuming this trade occurs, you have a lineup of

Duhon/Nate
Crawford/Qrich
Gallinari/Chandler
Marion/Haslem/Jeffries
Randolph/Blount/Rose

Its not exactly the Phoenix Suns, but its a good first step.

Curry hasn't displayed an ability to knock down an open 18 footer, he doesn't rebound and he can't pass. He cannot fit within Mike's offense.
You know I gonna spin wit it

I could see Steph helping a team like Miami, but they'd have to get Mourning back to play with a rookie PF and Steph at the PG. Otherwise they'd get slammed by everyone. They'd have pretty poor outside shooting as well if you think about it. Maybe they could get Barry from SA.

If you could prove that Steph was healthy, then you'd be in a much better position to trade him.

With all of the questions I just don't see it.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

the words "Elite" & "Marbury" no longer go together unfortunately (unless we're talking about elite level looney tunes)

i can see MIA maybe being interested if we threw in D Lee & Jamal along w/Malik's expiring.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
