I don't know. I think he'd like to, but he must realize that it's not likely. I think the next step for Allan is to think about coaching. His father was a coach. Allan was an intelligent player. Also, when he was talking about coming back previously, he mentioned wanting to work with younger players. With his Christian background, he might contact Christian colleges with good teams - like Wake Forest.

seemed to me to be more of a tepid "I'd like to hook up with any team that would have me" from Houston. Knicks got too many guards anyway. Getter off on a playoff contender.

This is exactly what this team needs.

Other teams would be all over this guy if he were close to the player he was before.

...Not holding my breath.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

I hate that it had to end the way it has for Houston. Who would have thought when he was dropping 53 on Kobe that the end was just around the corner. Happened so fast

Houston's annual comeback speeches piss me off. Shut up and stay retired.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

If he's really healthy now, I'd be totally behind Houston coming back and being a backup SG. He can teach the few players that are going to stay about professionalism, work ethic and perseverance.
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

i'd have no problem w/Allan at least being given another look... if he's really serious about coming back he should try out for the summer leagues & see if he can keep up w/the young bucks.

i know what you mean. it's weird because he still looks like Allan from day one. I think part of it is that his time with us was cut so short

Tony Delk once scored 50, Crawford did it more than once. Scoring 50 doesn't mean ****. Stay retired Alan Houston.

Houston did alot more than score 50 once in his career. I think the reference was that he did it shortly before he had to retire because of his knee surgery. I don't think you can ever predict how or when a guy will recover from microfracture surgery.

He has a jumper and he's 6'6".....he could ride a team like the spurs, boston, utah, pheonix, portland, etc....

Allan the man is cool. So excuse me when I say "**** allan houston". I mean it with the most respect.

If Houston can run for 15-20 mins a night he can help virtually any team in the league b/c there is such a lack of shooting. But last we saw him he can't move around without a limp.

He can't guard college players, i like the guy, but say him play recently, still can stroke it, but defense is going to be the worst on this team which really says something
