If we played Marbs off of the bench as instant offense, and for arguments sake, let's say he was good at it and we could at least make it seem as though he had turned a corner as a person...

What would he be able to bring back in trade?

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Don't trade him let him expire! Unless your getting T-Mac type of deal.

T-Mac is a good example.

Could you get one of the Western teams to give up on contending with the team they have and trade a player like T-Mac for Marbs?

Would you want that?

Is there a player out there that has two years left on their deal?

Is there a player that's junk and has two years left that you could trade for and get more picks?

I'm not a big Marbs fan, but I don't want him to expire! I hope he has a long, happy life -- just on some other team.

Ugh. How about sending Marbs to the Mets. Maybe he can play Left Out.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

what about Marbs' past behavior tells u that he'd even accept a role off the bench & not be a pain in the butt all year because of it? you either have to start the guy or set him free... he's not going to help his trade value by being a pro about being benched IMHO... in his distorted mind he probably still thinks he's the best PG in the NBA.

Because the other 8 times he said he was turning over a new leaf, he was only kidding. This time he means it

Maybe he meant a different kind of leaf.

all u guys need to know is that both Walsh & D'Antoni view PG as our main need right now... that tells me Marbury's not in their plans for next season.

That speaks volumes when we have Stephon Barfbury, Nate Robinson, Mardy Collins, Jamal Crawford, and Steve Francis (in spirit). Has any other GM struck out that many times with acquiring a starting PG?

Can the Knicks just let his contract expire, so they can later burn it and spread its ashes on MSG.

Stephan is not a PG - he is a symbol for NY Knicks of 21 century.
Spoiled underachiever with mental deficiency and personality disorders.
He will go and the dark era will officially end... We always believe in miracles..

I think the Knicks need to let him go no matter what. I am not a Marbury fan but I felt bad for him after Isiah turned on him last year. I don't think he ever expected it or had the maturity or mental capability to deal with it. Marbury has no real relationships with anyone on the Knicks that I am aware of now that Isiah has moved on. I don't think it would be smart to bring him into a situation that needs to be fresh and motivating. I am hoping that the Knicks can be like the Nets of the early 90's when they got rid of Coleman, Anderson, Morris and Benjamin. They weren't any better, they might have been a little worse but they were a team and they were likeable. That team got Chris Childs his big contract with the Knicks.
I'm tired,I'm tired, I'm so tired right now......Kristaps Porzingis 1/3/18
