Unbelievable when you think about what happened with J-Will. Maybe the Bulls should have showed pics of J-Will's leg when he visited them before draft day. I think he has to have his license suspended for 6mos and of course contributes in a small way to Insurance Rates going up.

And Beasley is the one everyone was concerned with initially

J-Will was on a bike. I am not concerned by people speeding. Heck, I speed. Not that fast, but it doesn't make him a bad citizen and it sure as in hell doesn't hurt his potential as a bball player.

Hope he doesn't get in an accident though.

Derrick Rose, the No. 1 draft choice of the Chicago Bulls and the NBA, will step into a Kane County court to face charges of driving more than 100 m.p.h. on the Reagan Tollway, his attorney said Tuesday.

Rose, 19, who lives in Chicago's West Englewood community, was driving a 2008 Land Rover on April 29 when he was stopped at 2:58 a.m. about a mile west of Illinois Highway 47 for allegedly going 106 m.p.h. in a 65-m.p.h. zone, according to Kane County court records. He is scheduled to appear in court July 11.

Who said he's a bad person for speeding? Please show me?

I wonder what would you say if it was Zach Randolph getting caught going this fast in a car instead of on a bike? Dude sorry this is kind of nuts for him to do something like this so soon or even at all.

I'm concerned about people speeding all the time especially those idiots that go 100 mph in 65 mph zones. And they do stupid shyt like weaving through traffic scaring the shyt out of people and panic them into accidents. It takes one idiot to screw up another persons life.

Good point. I just thought trueblue was putting Rose down, b/c he has done so, at least about his game, in the past. I guess not though, so my bad.

Yeah, I agree with you. It's one thing to go 5-10 miles over the speed limit, but 106mph is just too fast. Rose a young guy so it isn't surprising. We all make mistakes when we're young. Hopefully he's learned his lesson. A lot of these young guys, especially athletes, think that it's all about skill. It isn't. It's also about judgment.

No offense, but are you retarded? 41 MPH over the limit! People who speed like that are *******s. They're not just messing with their own lives, but they're potentially messing with the lives of others. If you had known people who were killed in both car and motorcycle accidents you might feel differently. Speeding is so incredibly not cool; it does make him a bad citizen.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

106 in a porche or BMW is ok, but a land rover? There is dumb, and then dumber.

And was this his car? How exactly did he afford a brand new land rover?

LOL... 106 miles?
I was driving 110 on NJ Turnpike on my Suzuki XL7 and state trooper stopped me... and sad... well... you are going tooo fast.
I said yes officer - it's my fault.
So he sad - let it be "You were not following turnpike traffic signs of whatever" - 2 points and thank you very much.

I used to drive 130 miles back in Russia on my BMW 525... And Yes - it is all about skill.
It's an idiom: "Which Russian doesn't like fast ride?"

This will be 11 points and 30 days license suspension.
He will take 6 points out in the court and 2 by going to driver’s improvement course.
And it will cost $1000-$1500 for layers and court fees
I think it's nothing for the guy

I think 85 is about the average speed out on the Long Island freeways. 100's not so shocking.

55 is the posted. People say that everyone goes 85. Having lived in Long Island for most of my life, it's definitely not true that 85 is the average. When there's traffic, it's impossible to go that fast on the LIE. When there isn't, people are usually around 70-75, and then there's an occasional ******* whose going over 90.

OMG !!! He's doing 106 on a highway! with little kids, pedestrians, old ladies crossing and gasp a family of ducks. Seriosly its not that big of a deal. Yeah he was speeding but not crazy speeding. some countries have highways without speed limits but in the Us you got your 90 year olds driving and pretty much any1 can get a drives license. so thats why everyone gets all up in arms if some1 goes a little faster than the speed limit. Besides any1 who is not comfortable driving on the highway where people go fast should just stay in the right lane kthx. and let whoever wants to blaze do their thing, thats why its a HIGHWAY.

No. You're an idiot. He was going absurdly fast. Seriously, STFU.

If you want to go fast, go play an arcade game, but stay off the roads.

Seriously, some of you guys have the same rap: Going absurdly fast and endangering lives is no big deal. Murdering animals is sport and should be legal. Prostitution should be legalized, etc etc... If you want to deviate from the rules of this society, please go form your own, so we don't have to listen to your moronic drivel.

I am sry for being a idiot. If you think 106 is absurdly fast i dunno what to say man. . . Endangering lives? i'll tell you who is endangering lives, ppl that go 55 in the left lane. Cause then normal drives are forced to go around those *******s , weave between cars etc. and yes you are so smart for thinking that every rule in the society is a good 1. i am not gonna get into the conversation about animals with you, as for the prostitution, lets see. If its legal you have those women off the street, in an establishment with rules regulations designed to protect them. By making it illegal you are not gonna stop it from happening but you will give pimps a job, put the girls lives in danger cause of sicko's since its not a controlled enviroment, sometimes girls get abused or worse and they can't go to the police even. I didn't think i'd say it but sry man you fail at logic.

That being said, I do agree that 106 is too fast. 55 is ridiculously slow, but if everyone was doing 106 on the highways, it would be a death zone. 75 is a reasonable limit.
