Any chance the Knicks would pursue someone like Mike Conley Jr? With Memphis direly in need of a center, we seem to have a number of reasonable options. Heck, even Eddy Curry, at 10 million/year, isn't a bad deal as far as starting NBA centers. He's still among the top 5 scoring centers in the NBA.

We been talking bout this all day......this thread title is more to the point though.

Jason Williams or Carlos Arroyo for a 2 year deal. Both guys are more run and gun guys anyway so they both could fit.

The Knicks can salary dump Curry to Memphis to get one of their point guards. They reached to get Conley in the draft. Lowry is the guys that probably is available. He hasn't made an all-star team yet so he's not popular to some fans.

J will has been injury prone the last 2 years and really isn't worth it. Im still trying to figure out what there going to do with Nate, who is way to small to play the 2g. I just see him and JC having big seasons. Im not sure how your suppose to play Nate, JC, Steph, and whoever they sign on a consistant basis, it's just not enough minutes.

Maybe we should stick with the one we have...

"It’s the same story every year," says one veteran Knick. "He’s doing this, he’s doing that, he’s running hills, he’s lifting weights. And then on the first day of training camp he can’t even finish some of the drills."

I think lowry is available, I'd go after him ( i started a thread about this before ). lowry is a tenacious defender, relentless taking the rock to the hoop, and would flourish up - tempo. he isn't a good shooter, but he's still young (22).

i'd rather trade for lowry or sign arroyo to a 2-yr deal. no need for j-will, that guys a chucker.

I'm with ya Smooth. I've wanted Lowry myself for quite some time now and there is no better time than now to go get him.

Take a look at Villanova's offense with him, Foye and Allan Ray, that offense was up and down at a frenetic pace, just like D'Antoni's and oh yeah.. he plays defense. Now would be a great time to scoop him up, since his trade value isn't that high.

I like Lowry, but he's not much of a playmaker, distributor or facilitator. he's a defender and he can cut to the hoop.

I think a playmaker like Felton or Telfair would be ideal. The Livingston idea intrigues me, but we'd have to wait for a while for him to heal.

I know Session put up his numbers during the garbage time of the season, but it was 10 full games and his numbers were GREAT!

I picked him up on both my fantasy league teams so I watched him play a lot. Let me tell you: The kid is very athletic, he plays tough D and gets steals, he can shoot okay (much better than Collins) and he really wants to passs first and he is good at it.

I think he has the goods to be a good quality starting guard in the NBA and D' Antoni's system is made for a guy like him.

I'd get him while he is cheap.

oohah

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Hmm...
We're already kind of talking about trading David Lee for the likes of a Raymond Felton. I just started thinking that concurrently with this PG search, we should consider moving Marbury for someone exactly like Shawn Marion. Marion has the misfortune of being just the wrong age to earn a big contract.

Yes, it will further create a logjam at the forward spots, but Marion is someone who excelled in D'Antoni's system and is a pretty established defender and rebounder.

Marbury could become the second coming of Tim Hardaway - a PG who everyone says is done... who comes back and has a second career under Riles...

We need more than 1 PG. Memphis acquired Arthur in the draft so I dont know how much they would be interested with Lee[unless they let him go to FA and see what he can get open market in order to match]

That being said they have a GLUT of PGs and I would take either Lowry or Conley but I would shoot for Conley

If we did something like

Lee and Rose +2mm for
Buckner and Conley
